1st day of school countdown !!!

Our son started today (and the bus forgot him... it was an excused tardy but nonetheless an embarrasing one... he was so nervous as I pulled up to the office end of the school)! :goodvibes

I would be so ashamed if I were that bus driver. Poor kid. At least you can tell him it should get better from here.

My DD starts school on Sept 3rd. She's entering 4th grade. :teacher:

I agree with the other posters. School year means a lot of work for me! Preparing lunches, rushing to make the school bus, Girl Scouts, dance classes, competitions, HOMEWORK help, projects, chauferring, etc. I am not looking forward to that.

My girls start school on Sept 3rd - 14 days until school starts not that I'm counting!! DD9-4th grade (she's more excited to see her friends then go back to school) and DD6 - 1st grade (she's so excited)

Honestly I'm looking forward to my babysitter and her kids not being in my house while I'm at work! I come home and the house is a mess and she does nothing but sit on the couch while I clean it up. Four more days of her services and that's it.

Hello - I bought the girls backpacks at Toys R Us and they've used them twice to pack their clothes for sleepovers - the ZIPPERS have already BROKE on both of them! They are the Mudd packs on wheels - purple and pink. What a rip off! I'll buy from LLBean from now on.

My DD starts Aug 26th. Although, it means more work for me, I AM SOOO SAD :sad1: I love spending time together, even though it is not all roses. She is excited, and I am too for her, she is going in 2nd grade. School starting means summer's over, and Fall/Winter is coming.

DD started Aug 4th..it keeps getting earlier every year!!:confused3

She has her first round of tests this week and she completed her first project today..(BUG COLLECTION)that was a TASK!! We hate bugs!!!:scared1:

My daughter starts 3 1/2 hours of pre K on Sept 4. This is KILLING ME, I know everyone does it and majority of mom's go through it..but the thought of her going "on her own" JUST terrifies me!!!!

I know, I know, I will get over it...:goodvibes

Me, too! He made it through :goodvibes and she did pick him up today!

He told me was so nervous walking in late (it was a "double-whammy"... he had to go first to what room should have been his 5 minute daily homeroom because of form pick-up, and then into first period) that he was shaking so bad and sick to his stomach.

The rest of his first day was uneventful and that's a good thing! :thumbsup2

We have all been there... it is horrible! I followed the bus to school for the first entire week (crying mind you) and pulled into the school parking lot so I could actually watch him walk in the school doors! :upsidedow

It does get easier, I relied a lot on prayer! :)

Hugs to you!

My DD starts preschool on Sept 1st.....homeschooled right here at home! I'm so glad I dont have to send her off.

My DD starts 2nd grade on September 2nd and I can't wait. I am ready for the routine though I still have the baby.

I am sure, there will be a lot of tears, and a lot of cheers once the day is over... (I am sure some words will be exchanged with prayer too ..)

My DS starts school August 27th and DD September 4th.

I'm not happy they are going back. That means the end of summer and our lazy days at the pool. :sad1:

I agree. This year I splurge I bought her one from LLBean. Her last one was literally on it's last wheels at the end of the school year!
