Hey everyone. I need some help here. About a year ago my hubby and I went to Disney on our honeymoon and stayed at the OKW. It was wonderful except we were both sick the whole time couldn't enjoy all the rides (Mission space with two ear infections? I don't think so) and we had to cancel a lot of our PS arrangements. Thankfully we are able to make it back this month for a honeymoon re-run on our first anniversary. I want to make it REALLY special and I've seen a few ideas tossed around on the posts so I thought I'd come here for help! I want to surprise him with something each day so I'll just post our itinerary and if anyone has any suggestions let me know! Thank you all so much !!

Thursday- We arrive in late afternoon so thinking about dinner at a resort.

Friday- Magic Kingdom day, dinner at the castle.

Saturday- Animal Kingdom day, dinner at Boma

Sunday- Epcot Day, Breakfast at FRESH

Monday- MGM Day, lunch at Sci-Fi, Dinner at Prime Time

I heard a few people say to let someone know at the time you make the PS that it's our anniversary. Is it too weird to call them back and say something? Is there a florist nearby that I can have flowers delivered to our room?
:flower:

You have a very nice itinerary planned! Sounds great! I don't think it would hurt to call back and tell them that is an anniversary celebration, or you can let them know when you check in for your PS's. (or both! :flower: )

Sorry, I don't know about the flowers, I'm sure you can do it, I just don't know how! Maybe contact the resort?

It really sounds like a romantic trip! Let us know how things went when you get back! :wave2:

I highly recommend LeCellier for dinner in Epcot. We always have a pint at the Rose and Crown before strolling over to LeCellier for cheddar cheese soup and mushroom filet.

Have a wonderful second honeymoon!

You can order flowers or a gift basket from wdw florist. I ordered the snack bag for a friend & they really liked it.

Feralpeg a member on this board also does baskets & I ordered one from her for our valentine's day trip & it turned out beautifully. You can private message her & she can send you a link to a photo album to look through of her creations.

Hope that helps & enjoy your anniversary. :cool1:

I think I read somewhere on here that you can get small wedding cakes at Grand Floridian. I was thinking of going to Citricos on Thursday night when we arrive....could I custom order a cake and have them bring it out for dessert?

Dinner at Boma is OK, but I would try Jiko instead. I ate at Fresh and breakfast wasn't very fresh. I would not go back there. Le Cellier is a nice suggestion. I truly love Chefs de France. We generally snack during our day at Epcot. Try a glass of wine in France and go to the Boulangerie and get a cheese plate with a French loaf and sit at one of the tables outside. Japan's Matsunomo Lounge has great sushi and offers a wonderful spot to watch Illuminations. A couple suggestions:
Kona Cafe in Poly has best breakfast at Disney IMHO
Great dinner options: Flying Fish, Palio, Shula's, Wolfgang Puck, Fulton's, Jiko, California Grill.

Yes, mykitten, you can do that. You have to call & contact the Grand Floridian bakery directly to set it up & then they deliver it directly to the GF restaurant of your choice. They will also do the white chocolate glass slipper dessert as well. If you do a search, you can probably find a thread with pictures of both. This would be a great touch. Good luck!! :wave2:

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary!

Dh and I are celebrating our 1st anniversary with dinner at the castle as well. Much to DH's dismay, I'm bringing a piece of the top tier of our wedding cake in a plastic container with us to dinner at CRT, even if it's freezer burnt it'll be a great photo op! :rotfl2:

Hahahaha,

Thanks everyone for replying. I just called back the Priority Seating gods and they put my information in and gave me the number for Cinderella's castle so I can order a cake! :flower:

I'm a little nervous to call though...I'm one of those people that's too scared to even order a pizza.

Wish me luck! :wave2:

Let us know what happens, maybe ordering a cake is better than eating year old cake :confused3
:)

So I called up the castle and they said they don't have any anniversary "cakes." Instead they had me order a slipper dessert (how exciting!) and they said they give us champagne flutes filled with cider cause there is no alchohol in the magic kingdom. (forgot that fact) The lady was so nice and personable on the phone. Now all I have to do is keep this a secret from DH!

Too bad about the cakes, but the slipper dessert sounds cool. :) May I ask how much they're charging for that?

I'm pretty sure she said 8.99. Had to secure it with a credit card. She offered a choice between dark chocolate and white chocolate. I chose white chocolate! Hope I made the right choice! princess:
