To make a vacation more exciting, which would be easier to get for 3 days in the second week of dec 3 days 1br BWV BW/PV or 3 days 1br LV BLT? I'll even post a poll. I just wouldlike to know if DVCers are at WDW along with pop warner and "jersey week" I know it's the christmas season and its suposed to be busy for resorts but slow for the park.

Boardwalk Villas - PREFERRED View is a fairly easy reservation to make.

Boardwalk views and standard views fill up much more quickly.

I do not know if BLT LV or BWV - Boardwalk view would be easier/harder to reserve.

The Christmas decorations at BWV are very nice.

Dec is probably the most popular month for DVCers.

so would call and see if you can get either one.;)

would go with BLT if you can - MVMCP is definitely worth doing.

of course Epcot has the Christmas around the world....

Thanks for the responses. I hope to hear more so we can pick the better resort. Why is December popular for DVC?:confused3

Low points and its the holidays and it tends to be less crowded parks wise so it is a great time to use up DVC.

Lower points per night. And the beautiful decorations and low crowds in the parks. It has been my favorite time of year to be there so far.

I went that timeframe last year and I booked at the 11 month window because I know it's a hard time to get anything at the 7 month window. I'm glad I did because there were lots of folks on waitlist. I would think that the BWV-preferred would be more available than BLT, but any of the smaller ones will be hard to get into during this time of the year. SSR or OKW might be your best bet.

For now, I think BLT LV will be easier. The reason is that the resort is not fully sold out. In 1-2 years, things may be different as BLT sells out.

As with any of the non "sold out" properties, there are more rooms declared than points sold, resulting in extra rooms for booking. It's a win for people looking to stay at a resort and a win for Disney because people try a new resort and may buy an add on.

Just from experience trying to book both, LV BLT was fairly easy to get. BWV standard was impossible and BWV preferred still didn't have some of my dates (for a different time of year so YMMV).

I voted BLT. All I know is I've had fairly easy time getting BWV Preferred availability for Dec.
I'm having lots of trouble with BLT for May 1 & 2 !? Booked back in Feb for May. I know it's FLower and Garden Show but would think people would want BWV for that ? I currently have a MK one bedroom for May 1 and a Bay Lake view for May 2. I was on a waitlist for 45+ days to try and get the same room type for both nights to no luck. I'm now calling day by day....doubt it's going to come through at this point. So I'll have to change rooms.

BLT. The DVC just declared an additional 31 2BR villas (17 of which are lock off units). That means there are even more villas available for DVC reservations today than there were yesterday. I'd think you'd have a pretty good chance to get a room.

Besides you'd have only a 10 minute walk to MK and MVMCP.
