If you reserve a 1bd villa at OKW and a Studio and ask that they be joined, would they make a 2bd villa? That is if they fullfill your request that the rooms are indeed joined. Has anyone ever tried this?
The 2bdrs are completely booked even on a cash basis.
Just wondering....

If the 2 bedrooms are completely booked, chances are you will not be able to get a 1 bedroom and studio together. They have probably already reserved the ones that can be joined.

We've got the 1 bed villa and attached studio for our upcoming trip in October. When I originally made my ressie, the CM told me it's lesser points to do the 1bed/studio route vs 2 bedroom. We'll still have the kitchen and living areawasher/dryer /but the other couple in the studio will have their own kitchenette, etc. We will have the ability to close the door between the two rooms for privacy too (if we get sick of each other). My one concern is, is that we won't have the luxury of the huge deck you get with the 2 bedrooms, oh well.

How is it less to points than a 2 bedroom to book a one bedroom and studio seperately? It is always less points to book a 2 bedroom than booking a one bedroom and seperate studio. If you want the 2nd bedroom to have the kitchenette, you simply book a 2 bedroom "lock-off", using the same points as a "dedicated" 2 bedroom.

debbiepump - you might want to check your reservations. There is not a resort where a 1 bdr and studio is cheaper than 2 bedr. Are you sure that they did not book you in two studios?? That would be cheaper. And did they specify connecting? Hope you got what you asked for. I would really double check everything.

Points questions aside, your biggest issue with booking it this way is that you're not going to be guaranteed to have ajoining rooms. Do you have a booking for a 1BR and a studio, or do you have a booking for a 2BR lockoff? If it's a booking for 2 rooms, you may not even be in the same building... or section for that matter.

did the CM tell you that your rooms will be next to each other? :confused3

I think the only way this will happen will be by LUCK.

Sorry but what you want is just a request so I wouldn't gets my hopes up. Next best thing would be at least in the same building.

good luck , I hope you get it.

Getting the 2 bedroom lock off is definitely cheaper point costs than a 1 bedroom plus a studio. If NO 2 bedrooms are available, then it figures that no 1 bedrooms plus connecting studios will be either.

did you ask about a dedicated 2-bedroom?

OKW has more of these and you can generally get them.

no extra entrance for your guest and no balcony for the studio.

or you might try for 2 studios - but considering these are generally attached to a 1-bedroom - you only choice might be a dedicated 2-bedroom.

the one exception is BWV. it has some dedicated studios together, I think some dedicated 1-bedroom, too?
