I remember you saying in a previous thread how you'd won a competition to WDW ~ you must have been the envy of the whole town!!

I hope you have a wonderful time and am really looking forward to seeing the past and present photos in your trippie.

Hi everyone,it has been lovely reading all your comments on the photos my DS has posted.We are really looking forward to the trip down memory lane.I love the idea of recreating some of the photos as long as i don't have to wear pink flares and carry a panda (which i embarrassingly still have,the panda that is not the flares).We didn't realise at the time how lucky we were ,but now having to scrimp and save for the past two years to get to WDW again we will really appreciate this fantastic holiday.

We were already big Disney fans, Susan, so I think we would probably still have gone eventually.

I know! He was very elusive back then, too. I think this is our only photo of him - we only saw him in the parades.

What a super pre-trip report, thank you so much for sharing your lovely 1975 pictures with us, how lucky you were.

I remember my grandparents going to NYC in 1979 and it was a really big deal, flying Laker, no less It must have been amazing for you both.

I hope this upcoming trip is just as magical again for you both

WOW .. what an amazing thing to have won a trip to Disney in the 1970s ... back then I used to dream about one day going to Disney world ... it was this elusive and magical place which existed somewhere but no one I know ever got to go to.

Your photos remind me so much for our own family photos taken in the
1970s .. my Nan used to make all of my sister's and my clothes and we were always matching .... it was always dresses aswell, which wasn't my favourite clothing item back then. The photo of you in the dresses with the knee length white socks is so typical of ours. I didn't really like the matching clothes as I was 4 years older.

Anyhow .... what a lovely start to yout trip report and I hope you all have a magical time reliving your experience and creating new treasured memories.

I was especially drawn to it as we also won out first trip to WDW (in a competition with Homebase) in 1992 - just like you, I was hooked then!
