for breakfast? Our other dining is
1) 1900 PF dinner
2) tusker breakfast
3) BOG breakfast
4) Chef Mickey 2 pm
5) Garden grill dinner
6) Ohana breakfast
7) H&V dinner
8) Crystal palace breakfast

Since you don't have any breakfasts planned in the Epcot resort area, then I would choose Cape May Cafe on a day that you plan to go to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. :)

I have to say that they are both great. We enjoy the food at both of them. I do love the strawberry soup and the eggs benedict at 1900 PF but I have to say that they both are great. They also have different characters. They could help make a decision. You won't go wrong with either restaurant.

Things that I would take into consideration:

Character wise... You would be meeting three characters that don't overlap with your other meals at 1900 Park- Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, and Alice (Pooh and Tigger will be seen when you eat at Crystal Palace). At Cape May you will be meeting Donald, Minnie, and Goofy in their beach outfits which is very cute. Based on the rest of your dining plan, you will meet members of the Fab 5 a lot. Which characters are more important to your family?

Location wise... We try not to travel all over the place just for a meal. I would take into account where you are planning on going that day. If going to MK, I would lean towards 1900 Park. If going to Epcot or HS, would lean towards Cape May.

Food wise... We really love both locations and have only had positive experiences at each restaurant. Both restaurants have options that the other doesn't have (omelette station and strawberry soup at 1900 Park for example) but they also both have the same standards (mickey waffles!!)

I would probably lean towards Cape May just so you can try a new restaurant. However, if the characters at 1900 Park are more appealing to you, definitely go there!

I would choose Cape May Café to see the resorts in the Epcot area after breakfast

We've been to both and my choice would be Cape May. We've eaten at 1900 PF a couple of times and while it's been ok, Cape May is our favorite between the two (it's actually our favorite breakfast on property). We find both the food and atmosphere to be better at Cape May.

I didnt care for the breakfast food at 1900. Also, the place itself needs a serious refurb.

Cape May is one of my faves. I love the food there. So yum! Also I love the atmosphere. Very pretty. I'd pick Cape May over 1900 any day.

Cape May! It seems less stuffy over there and it's always fun to see the characters in their swim gear.

Cape May for sure. They fairly recently added a crepe station with made to order crepes - they are fantastic. The scrambled eggs with goat cheese and spinach, chorizo eggs, frittata, and the orange cranberry bread are all delicious. It is one of our favorite breakfasts in all of WDW.

Here's my take... Choose the one that appeals to you the most based off of theme, decor, characters and location and not based off of the food. The reason why I say don't worry about the food? It's a buffet and in my opinion there is no such thing as "Great" food at a buffet (especially lunch/dinner). Mass produced food sitting on serving stations can only be so good. If it were a dinner buffet I'd say pass on both of them. But for breakfast both of these places in my opinion offer average food and very good character experiences. If it does come down to the food I give 1900 PF the edge only because they do have a fresh egg/omelet station. I myself can't stand eggs that are not fresh and Cape May does not offer a fresh omelet station. But I will say I do prefer the characters at Cape May, they are really a lot of fun.
