I am considering making a dinner reservation here and would like some feedback. It will be me, dh, dd (13), her friend (14), and ds (4). I am wondering about the food and the atmosphere. I read an online review that said this is a very loud restaurant and would be interested in seeing if others agree.

Thank you :)

We went in January (click on link for food pics and full review)

We were seated an hour past our ressie time, the CM said it was because diners that were already seated and done eating were not leaving because they wanted to visit with the characters some more. So the kids were miserable, I was cranky and DH was starving!

When we were finally seated the place was half empty and not loud at all

The characters were incredible...cannot say enough great things about them.

The food was horrible, I mean bad bad bad. Way too salty, dried out and just blech. Even the kids were not happy, no chicken nuggets at all!

The service was as bad as the food...no new silverware when we finally flagged her down so we took it from the tables next to us, dishes were not removed so we piled them up on said table, the drinks were not refilled and to get the check was quite the chore!

We went in 2005 and food was okay. We loved the atmosphere and the character interactions were the best we have ever had. Cinderella, Prince Charming and 2 of the mice. They came around so many times it was like we had a character eating with us. The place seemed calm, cozy and quiet. We are planning on going back this December. I hope the food won't be as bad as it was in Jan for the previous poster.

It is a loud restaurant, but I loved that - it reallt added to the atmosphere! We went in May and really enjoyed it - the characters were really fun, and we really enjoyed the food. The service left somethign to be desired, but that was the only blip! There are some pictures of dinner in my food review below (Havent Lost Last Years Weight)!

We ate there this year and loved it. The characters were really into their role. The stepsisters were fighting with each other and then the stepmother would come over and scold them. Prince charming was very good looking too. The food was one of the better Disney buffets we have had. There was something on there that all 5 of us would eat. They had normal stuff like ham, turkey, chicken and your usual side dishes and they also some odd stuff too. My kids ages 2, 5, and 10 all liked the food. The only thing we did not like was where we were seated. We were in a separate back room, not in the main dining room where the buffet was located. We missed out on seeing the Prince and Cinderella dance at the ball. The room we were in also was next to a lobby and that back door was open allowing people who weren't eating in the restaurant to pop in for a peek. That was the only downfall of thie restaurant in my opinion. Oh and don't forget to try the Strawberry Soup. It is the best!!!!

We ate there earlier this month and thought it was very good. We were seated quickly and the food was very good. The best thing though was the character interaction - they were brilliant. No complaints whatever.

We just came back from here and it was an ok dinner not great, I thought Chef Mickey had a much better selection. I had read reviews before going and thought maybe the people who rated not so great were just being picky until i had went for myself. The characters were great but like others have said the dinner is only so so and i wasnt impressed. Infact if i had to pick the one i liked the least out of the 6 nights it would be this one for the food factor. I can say i enjoyed the soft serve vanilla ice cream. However i am glad i did it for the children. Prince charming was greatwith my daughters, along with Cinderella. I dont know if some of them were having an offnight but we were in the main room and didnt find it overly noisy or annoying like i thought it would be. Only complaint one of the stepsisters forgot about us and went into the next room (i dont know how she could have missed us table of 5 but did go over to the table of 2 of an older couple?????)

The characters were priceless. The rest of the experience was less than desireable -- it was HOT, and loud. My kids were just cranky, and the characters didn't spend any time at the tables with us (we had first seating, and were the second table they went to, I think this was the issue -- I definitely saw more interaction with later tables). Prince Charming was first & posed with both the girls and my son. Because of that, my son didn't get up to stand with DD & Cinderella, and she left after the picture with her :( He was sad. We made sure to get them up to pose with the others.

Our food was so-so. The whole experience wasn't going well, so I don't really remember it even. But our friends went the next night & found a BUG in the salad :( Bleh. :sad2:

All that said, the stepsisters & Lady Tremaine are awesome & we're glad we saw them. But the rest of it was so-so. BRILLIANT of WDW to take a boring convention type room & stick some characters & food in it & fill it to capacity though :rotfl2:

We had dinner there on Mon AUg 17th, 2 weeks ago. We were seated after about a 25 min wait. We enjoyed the comfortable chairs in the GF lobby. Probably about the longest wait we had all week, but still very reasonable I think. The room was beautiful, and the table was set wonderfully, too. We were seated in the middle of the main room. It was crowded and a bit loud, but it was a family buffet. The characters were wonderful. The Step mother was very droll and intimidating, she she should have been. The sisters were hilarious. Either talk about how wonderful their step sister (Cinderella) is, or the opposite, try to provide them with a flaw in Cinderella, they will talk that angle with you. the food was good, but I would have preferred more items to choose from. It was definitely not as good as Crystal Palace, but we still enjoyed it.

While I always respect Nicki's reviews, we were there last Thursday and I just have to say we had the exact opposite experience. We were there when the bufet opened and were impressed by the display. Everything just looked so good and we tried a large variety of the different foods.

However, the character interaction was simply non-existent. Granted, it was DS16 and myself, but he really was looking forward to it. We saw the stepmother and stepsisters in the MK the previous day and they were simply hilarious. But at the dinner, the key word seemed to be turnover. All the characters rushed to a table, signed autographs if necessary, a quick photo, and they were out of there. We finished our food (and with a 16 year old boy, that takes awhile in itself) and ended up waiting 45 minutes for all the characters to circle. Meanwhile, had managers clicking their tongues at us for filling a space that they wanted to turn over to another diner. We explained each time that we still hadn't seen ANY characters by the time we finished eating. When they did finally come to the table, my son tried his best to interact with them but they were strictly "do you want a pic?" and then moved on.

We wouldn't do this meal again unless I was with a young princess who wanted to see Cinderella or Prince Charming. Wish we'd stayed with the CP we had booked originally.

We had dinner there last Christmas time and it was GREAT! The characters were wonderful! One of the step Sister was telling the whole restaurant that my 13 year old VERY EMBARRASED son was going to marry her! So he would go and hide when she came around and she would YELL I mean YELL his name across the entire restaurant looking for him...it was hilarious!! She introduced him to her mother and the mother gave him a once over and a lecture...asked where his castle was etc.

Cinderella danced with my 11 year old son...it was so sweet, and the sweetest was my 2 year old daughter dancing with Prince Charming! It actually brought tears to my eyes!

Honestly I had so much fun I don't remember the food, or the noise...

This year we booked the breakfast...going to miss the dinner I think...

we also ate there last week and it was our least favorite meal. The meats were very dry and we didn't find there to be a very good selection. The character interaction seemed very rushed. We would not go back.

we didnt have such a grand time either. we were also seated late. (about 45 minutes) DDad finally went up and asked what was taking so long to be seated. they told DDad that they had already buzzed our buzzer 30 before hand. instead of calling us when we didn't come, they gave our table to someone else behind us. when we finally got in to eat, the food was not that great. with my experience, we have not gone back since and that was 2 years ago. you would probably get better service at another restraunt.

Not sure if this helps or not but I took my 13 yr old niece here during our trip in March and it was one of our favorite meals of the whole trip. I thought I would post our experience as my niece is the same age as your daughter and her friend.

Negatives: We did have a long wait before getting into the restaurant. From what I can tell it is typical to wait about 30 min before you can get seated (we showed up 20 min early so it took extra long to be seated). So I would suggest making your reservation to plan for this delay, for example if you want to eat at 7, try to get a reservation for 6:30. It might help to have something to do to pass the time, my poor niece got pretty bored waiting for the reservation to be called.

Positives: The characters are priceless. I don't think we stopped giggling through out the whole dinner. The picture I have of my niece making a face and pulling her hands away when prince charming went to kiss them is absolutely priceless. In all of my character meals at Disney I have never had a meal with as much character interaction.

As far as the food goes, I would say it is average. I can't recall anything being extremely memorable, nothing fantastic but nothing disgusting either. We both found food we enjoyed and definitely didn't go away hungry.

I have this meal booked again for my trip in November and I am really hoping it is a similar experience to my last meal because the memories just can't be beat.

Loved the characters, didn't love the food, loud yes it's a character meal. Would I do it again ..yep got it booked for sept 5th only couple more days. My parents just loved this place.

We are there and had a wonderful experience. The Characters were great...the step mother was true to character and the step sisters were a hoot. The food on the buffet was plentiful, hot and delicious. We did have a long wait time to get seated, but the meal and entertainment was well worth it.
