1900 Park Fare

We've never dined at 1900 Park Fare before and have a few questions. We have an 8:30pm reservation. Is there anyplace near the restaurant that one of us can take the kids out to view the fireworks at MK during our mealtime? We are not staying at a Disney property this time but we are spending the day at the MK and then going over to the GF for this dinner. Can we park at the GF in the morning and ride the transportation over to the MK since we're going to end the day there anyway? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Out by the lake there is a dock with a nice view
You can only park at Grand Floridian for 2 hours so no you cant park there and then go back later. You will have to park at the TTC and then either pick the car up before the reservation (you could perhaps send one person back to the car to move it while the rest of the party get on the boat to the Grand Floridian or the monorail) or after using the monorail

I found, as so many others on the night of 12/15, that the buffet was horrible. It contained just a bunch of salads made different ways and a little bit of meat. It can never compare to the previous buffet. I think Disney should look at this... what a waste of 136.00.
