1900 Park Fare: Will we have time?

We have tickets to the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise the night we arrive at WDW in July (a Monday, to be precise). We're supposed to be at the Contemporary at 8:30 p.m. for the cruise. Prior to that, we have dinner reservations at 1900 Park Fare at 6:15 p.m. I've been reading about people being seated 20+ minutes after their ADR at Park Fare, so I'm getting nervous about the amount of time needed, even though it'll only be two stops on the monorail. Any opinions? Should I try to move the ressie back?

If I were you I'd try to move the reservation to give yourself more time.

You could be fine on time if they seat you immediately - however if they're running late at 1900 it could be stressful. One key thing to remember at Character Buffets is to ask for the check ASAP (like while you're ordering the drinks) and go ahead and pay it so you're free to leave as soon as you've seen all of the characters.

I would definitely try and move the 1900 PF ressie to an earlier time. I haven't had dinner there but of all the places we did eat-that was the longest wait time from our ressie time to actually being seated.

Thanks for the tip about asking for the check early? ...they don't mind doing that for you???

We had dinner there a couple years ago. We had an ADR and weren't seated until 40 minutes after our ADR time. I would definitely try to get in there earlier.

I agree with everyone who suggested moving the reservation to an earlier time.

It would be too much stress if I had to spend the entire time checking my watch, calculating how much time I have left before I needed to leave and wondering if the characters would make it to my table before then.

Plus you'll have to allow plenty of time for the monorail (wait time at the GF, stop at MK, down to the dock at CR).

magicprincess it's not a problem for them to bring the check early. In fact I think in many ways it makes it easier for the waitress - most people want to leave as soon as the last character comes around. By doing your check early it's one less thing they have to deal with during the rush (clean up, check everyone out etc)

Thanks for the replies everyone. You've all confirmed what I was fearing, we ended up moving the cruise to a different night.
