We will have friends arriving at the park on our departure day and would like to do breakfast together.

Since we do not want to use a day's admission for a meal we are limited to resort dining, and I thought on of these two would be best.

We are 5 adults and one 5 year old girl. I thought Merry Poppins would be fun, but you have so many of the primary Disney characters at Chef Mickeys.

Of course, we are looking at Dec 5 and have not gotten a PS for either so that may make the difference!

This will be our only chracter meal so I want to make it a good one for my daughter. Your opinions?

If you are looking for great (!) character interaction, go for Chef Mickey's. You will not find a better place with better character greetings, activity, tom-foolery, or crazy antics than CM.

However, and this is JMO, the food there is just adequate. Over the years I've felt their food quality has seriously declined. The last time my DW and I ate there in May, I thought it was barely edible.

1900 Park Fare is a very nice breakfast, but it is very much more "buttoned-down" than CM. You won't see the wild antics there, but the characters are out in full display. I think the food here is a couple of steps above CM.

Overall, my experience with breakfast buffets at Disney is that they've really good downhill as far as food quality. With the price increases you'd think they'd be better -- but that's JMO.

I agree, Chef Mickeys is the best character meal out of the two.

My vote is for Chef Mickey's because something in the GF might be too fancy for me, I mean your friend. ;)

I've been to both and I would have to say Chef Mickey's too.
We always have a great time when we go there.

I vote for Park Fare. We ate at both in Oct. and found the character interaction at Chef Mickey's to be just "sign and pose" I really thought there was better character interaction and better food and Park Fare. Of course, we ate at both for dinner, not breakfast, so I don't know if that would matter. Also, another thing to consider, the characters at Chef Mickey's can be seen just about all the time at all the parks. The characters at Park Fare harder to find. JMHO.

First, I should be having 1900 Park Fare this December, then I should have Chef Mickey's next December. You should probably choose Chef Mickey's.

So has my friend attempted to make a PS, or shall I? ;)
