1900 Park Fare renovation

My DD posted on the Community Board but that board is busy so I don't think anyone saw it. I read here that the Stepsisters and the Step Mother will be at 1900 PF when the renovation is completed and I read that it would be completed by OCT 1st. Does anyone know anything about this? IF not do you think if I call the Dining line they will have the info. We are going Oct 11th and I already have made ADR's but would try to change one if DGD could meet the stepsisters.

I just called Disney Dining about that because I have ADRs for December. I heard about the change on this board and I was concerned because DD5 was really excited to see the prince and mice, and she's pretty freaked by the stepsisters and stepmother.

They said it was changing to Cinderella, the prince, the stepmother and stepsisters. I'm unsure of the exact date though.

Got to "test" the new 1900 Park Fare today. Anastasia was a hoot! LOL. I think they are better than the mice and Fairy Godmother, but I still miss all of the Villains.

When you say you got to test the new 1900 Park Fare today do you mean the renovations are done and it has reopened now? If so are they taking reservations for dates between now and Oct. 1st when they were expecting to reopen?

No, the restaurant is not open yet!

I've been reading that it's supposed to open in the next few days, well ahead of schedule. My DD would have preferred to see the mice and fairy godmother, but she's fine with the stepmother and sisters. I can't wait for more reviews to come in. Battousai, how was the food?

It was OK.... nothing to rave about though. The Strawberry soup was good, same with the desserts. The main dishes were so-so. I like the buffet at Chef Mickey's and Boma better, but that's personal opinion. One of the CM's I went with loved some things that I didn't like and vice versa.

It was a decent experience. Everyone but Prince Charming visited our table. A fellow CM said it was because he only had eyes for Cinderella, LOL.

Would I make a reservation here for the dinner? Probably not.

If I had a daughter though who loved Cinderella, then I would try and make a res.

I have tried to make adr's and they are sold out for the nights I would want to go. My DGD would love this so I will try again, but I am so glad I made ADR's for meals long ago!

Again it is just my personal opinion but I liked Chef Mickey's better overall. (although I do prefer their breakfast to dinner)

I was chatting with a GFC server last week and he said it would be "mid-September". He told me that not only will the characters change, but there will be some "show"-like thing going on. Did you have any experience with anything like that?

DH and I ate at the Garden View Tea yesterday afternoon.
As we were leaving through the lobby we saw 1900 Park Faire was apparently open. We did not walk back there. However there were three CMs at the check in podium near the restrooms.
There was signage around the corner near the Guest Services desk. There were areas to post menus and what characters were apperaring. But nothing was posted.
