1900 Park Fare Question

Okay, so I've eaten breakfast here, but not dinner, so DH and I now have ADRs to eat here in Dec. The thing is, it's just the two of us. Two adults. We don't have any kids yet. Yes, I know it's Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Tremains, but we're ok with with :lmao: Plus we're wanting to stay close to the MK because it's EMH that night. So, I guess my question is, will it be worth it for two adults to eat at this character meal? I've heard that the buffet there is better than some of the others. Are we going to wish we had gone somewhere else? The other place I have though about was Kona (if I can get an ADR). This was my first choice. Should I re-think it?

Oh definanetly go its very funny and entertaining. As long as your DH does'nt mind getting attention from the stepsister because they may pick him out since it's just the two of you at the table, they say the funniest things and make funnier faces. Nothing to be embarrased about though it's all Disney fun.(my DSwho is now 8 gets a little shy, he wouldn't dance with one of the stepsister but we go every vacation he has grown to deal that they will probably say or try to do something.)

We LOVE 1900 PF and we're all adults. :lmao: The food is good and the Step-sisters are HILARIOUS. You are bound to have a good time.

The food is very tasty... and worth it, its much more low key as far as the characters go...well other than them announcing their arrival (lol)

Food is on par with the CP in the park. They usually have a carving station with beef, turkey and or ham, seafood entree, salads, soups and great deserts. Nice dining room plus the ambience of the GF. There is a nice jazz band that plays in the GF lobby as well as a fine piano player. There is also an automated music machine in the dining room that used to play occasionally. Very nice meal overall.

It is a fun meal.

Some adults love character meals.

I thought the food was very good, the coq au vin in particular was delicious.

We went there with all adults too and we had a really good time. The step-sisters are very funny. The food is good too. We weren't disappointed.

I must have gone on a bad food night. I was there in Jan08 and I actually found the food really not that great. They serve the same food as most any of the buffets at Disney do and I guess I was hoping for something a bit different as it was the GF. The theme was great and while Cinderella and Prince Charming hardly spent anytime at our table (was pretty disappointing as it was my friends DD8 birthday) the stepsisters spent plenty of time and were a riot! If the food had been better then I would have certainly gone back.

I've got to second tigger512766 on the food. Although, it could be because I've been to the Cape May dinner buffet and that one far exceeds any other on property as far as I'm concerned.

Having said that the 4 of us went to 1900 Park Fare last June and had a great time. The 4 included 3 adults and one 27-year old adult child (my mentally handicapped stepson) who loves princesses. My 22-year old stepdaughter was in a bad mood and Prince Charming totally made fun of her about it in front of everyone which was basically worth the entire cost of the meal in and of itself.

Overall, I say go for it. Even if the food is just OK, with the entertainment value, you'll never notice!

Character meals are for everybody, not just kids! :) I personally love them, DBF and I are planning on four of them on our December trip! :woohoo:

I am taking two of my friends this year and we are all adults. We are really, really, really looking forward to it!

Thank you everyone! I think we'll keep the ADR and go and have fun:thumbsup2 DH is actually looking forward to is, so I hope everything is good that night!

Oh, absolutely go. It's so worth it. The step sisters are a riot, and the step mother is a hoot. The food is great and we all had a wonderful time. (to be honest, us adults had more fun than the kid did)
