After our vacation last July, we couldn't wait to go back and so we booked a trip for next February. :cool1:

Last trip, we had made reservations for the Crystal Palace breakfast but were forced to cancel it due to unforeseen circumstances. After we got back from the trip, we started to look at things we hadn't done and 1900 Park Fare came up as something we thought we might like to try.

Originally, we were thinking about doing both but we also have breakfast reservations at CRT and Tusker House that week and don't want to overdo it on breakfasts. So it's either 1900 Park Fare before we go to Epcot one day or the Crystal Palace on one of our Magic Kingdom days.

For those who have done both, which do you prefer? Thanks for your thoughts in advance.

Having done both, I vote for Crystal Palace. If you can get an early ADR before the park opens, you will get just spectacular photos. While 1900 PF was good, I didn't like the character interaction (at breakfast) nearly as much as Crystal Palace. I thought the CP food was much better too. (and you cannot beat the setting!!)

Now, 1900 PF for dinner is something special.....if you have an opening for dinner, I would totally suggest that. The characters are AWESOME and some of THE BEST character interaction of any character meal. The step sisters and Lady Tremaine are hysterical.

For breakfast, you get Alice ( Alice was a no-show on our day....she must have fallen down the rabbit hole), The Mad Hatter (which wasn't nearly as good without any other Alice characters), Burt and Mary Poppins (they were okay...nothing supercalafragalistic) and Pooh and Tigger. To me, it just seemed like a mish-mash character meal without any kind of theme. It was like whoever was leftover, show up at 1900 PF !!

Crystal Palace.... you won't be sorry !!! :thumbsup2

Just to let you know, the theme that connects Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins and WtP together is that each of the stories takes place in England.

With that being said, we personally like the 1900 PF breakfast better than CP. We like the food better and find that we get better character interaction out of the "face" characters. We usually get one of the last breakfast ADR's on a MK day and use it more as a mid-day break/brunch.

CP is great if you have an ADR that will get you into the park before it opens. There is nothing quite like that early morning walk down MSUSA with no one in your way. So, to me, it comes down to this: if your CRT ADR gets you into the park before the park opens, go with 1900 PF and if your CRT ADR does not get you into the park before opening and you can get a CP ADR before the park opens, go with CP.

Another vote for Crystal Palace! Agree that there is nothing like walking down Main Street with barely anyone there.....

Having done both I say Crystal Palace...the food is much better and we prefer the characters at CP over Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland.

I did not know that !! See, you learn something new on the DIS every day. (now it makes alot more sense.....) :goodvibes

I like 1900 Park Fare breakfast better than CP breakfast...but that's mainly because I am much bigger fan of the characters at 1900 PF (Pooh and friends are sweet but never really did it for me, lol).

The food is good at both, so I think it comes down to which characters you would rather see. 1900 PF is a lot crazier because the characters interact with you and each other, whereas Pooh and friends can't talk.

I completely agree with this 100%. I love the characters at 1900 PF plus the fact that they have real bacon! woohoo! (so hard to find at disney). Food is quite delish. Mad hatter is hilarious. You wont be sorry!
