Which meal?
The character experience and food at 1900PF varies between breakfast and dinner and while the Norway princesses stay the same (well, minus shift changes and substitutions for various reasons), the breakfast buffet is standard fare, while lunch and dinner are a mix of Norwegian and American favorites.
I have never done 1900Pf for dinner...the step sisters are supposedly worth the trip and we will do it at some point, but the menu has never appealed to me. We LOVE 1900 PF for breakfast, but that's always been Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and TIgger on our visits. We have yet to have a good Mad Hatter and the service was horrible when we went in August, but we like the food (especially the pecan sticky bun YUM) and the remainder of the characters have been excellent for us.
We've never done Akershus for breakfast b/c I'd only do pre-park opening and the hike from the entrance to Norway just before 8am doesn't sound very appealing to me. I still regret doing it at AK for Tusker House. We have had very good lunch and dinner at Akershus...much more standard princess interaction on par with CRT, but our girls liked it. We prefer going with more ethnic foods from WS restaurants so lunch and dinner were a no brainer for us.
