When I called to book our ADR I was going to do CRT for dinner, but the CM recommended 1900 Park Fare for dinner, she said Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother and 2 mice would be there, so we chose that one instead, I actually let my daughter choose whether she wanted to eat in the Castle or with Cinderella and she chose Cinderella. :upsidedow Anyway, I haven't heard anyone talk about this dinner, has anyone attended, can you tell me about it.

Thanks.

We were there in May. The Fairy Godmother was in the hall meeting guests. At dinner there were Cinderella, Prince Charming and the 2 mice. The food I felt was very good, a little more upscale than most of the other buffets we ate at. The cold strawberry soup was very good. The children's bufftet selections were also plentiful. When we left Belle was in the lobby greeting guests. All in all - it was a very good experience.

We just had dinner there 2 weeks ago and it became our favorite Character meal place. Strawberry soup good...Pasta bar good... but the salad selection was amazing. DH made fun of me because I am not usually excited about salad but this was one yummy selection.(not huge variety but quality of ingredients) And the characters spend more time at your table then any other we have been to. Perla(one of the mice) actually ate dessert with us!- well pretended to but sat there the whole time! We saw the Cinderella crowd and Goofy was outside for us.

Wow this sounds like just the perfect choice then, I'm glad the CM recommended it. We are there on the free dining plan, so I tried to get a character meal everyday, to really make the trip great for my daughter. I LOVE strawberry soup, so you just really peeked my interest with that.

We also visited 1900 for dinner in May. We caught a cancellation for 8:30 on the Friday before Memorial Weekend. If you can wait this late to eat (not a problem for us during the summer when it's so hot!!), this was a wonderful time. The place emptied out shortly after we were seated. However, we never felt rushed; and CM's continued to refresh the buffet. There were only a few other tables of guests remaining when we left; but the characters were still circulating (We got to see Cinderella for several lengthy visits.), and none of the staff looked as if they were in any hurry to leave. Back to the food -- I do not usually enjoy buffets, but I loved this one. The food was excellent!! Be sure to try the freshly prepared pastas (only cooked in small amounts so that they are not overcooked!!) to the left of the serving area. While I could have made a meal out of just the salads and strawberry soup here, everything I tried was excellent. Our 4 yo ds enjoyed the wide selection of items on the children's buffet -- particularly the corn dog bites and ice cream. 2.5 yo dd ate more here than at any other WDW restaurant, but it still didn't amount to much. 1900 has become a must-do for us when we have the children along. (Note: Our 13 yo chose to go to DQ on his own rather than eat here.)

1900 Park Fare was my favorite place to eat when we were there in Dec.
The strawberry soup was good. The cheese ravioli was tasty. Everything I ate was good. The character interaction was wonderful. The mice actually made my DH blush. I can't wait to go back in October.

I'm so glad to read this info. we have reservations for August. :flower:

1900 Park Fare is wonderful! It is so much more relaxed than the other character meals and the food is really good. Last year we celebrated dd's birthday there. We ordered the chocolate slipper desert for all the kids. They thought they were really cool! I think my favorite thing is the fact that the characters come around more than once. The breakfast there is great too!

I'm so glad to see this thread!!!

We just made AR for October 9th. I am so excited to try this!!!

My husband declared this the best food he had a disney. Make sure you have a Key Lime tart for dessert! :lovestruc My 3 y.o. still raves about Suzy, Perla, and the Fairy Godmother. She was entralled with Prince Charming too.

A cm also recommended this when I told her we had a 3 yr old. She said it's not as crowded or rushed as the CRT. We are looking forward to it. We're going there for dinner our first night there.

Add me to the list!! Thanks for the responses... I printed a copy of the menu, we're not big Cinderella/character people, but, I really want to try the Strawberry Soup... I debated between this menu and CRT dinner menu!!!

It's awesome! I'm right there with everyone else on the strawberry soup, and the salads are amazing. The quality of the entire meal if fantastic. Our kids love it and the characters are some of the best! It's definitely not typical buffet food, even for Disney. We really love it, in fact we have PS's for it in a couple of weeks...YUM!
