1900 park fare dinner?

We are going on our arrival day in July. I've heard some pretty good reviews, sounds like a winner!

I had mixed feelings about our dinning experience. We walked in and it was PACKED. The ceilings are very high and it is extremely loud in there. The tables are really crowed against the wall. I felt like my butt was rubbing against the table next to me everytime I got up and I am a small person. I got up to get the food and everything looked great. The food was really good. I usually do not like buffets and I enjoyed the food. The people working behind the buffet were friendly and the character interaction was good. My 3 and 5 yr. old kids had a good time. After dinner we walked around the grounds of the hotel and watched the fireworks from the dock. We had a nice time but the noise was a killer. They should hang some fabric on the walls. The food was a B and the atmoshpere was a C.

We were there May 14th and we loved it. It was not real crowded and not too terribly loud. The CM told us we came at a good time because it was unusually slow that day. IF you don't go for anything else you must go just to eat the Strawberry Soup , it is soooo good!!

We think it's the best buffet food at WDW. The strawberry soup is wonderful--they have a nice selection of hot and cold dishes, carved meats and lots of desserts. Really nicely done food-wise. The Cinderella characters are always a hit. It's nice to see the prince, as he's a rarity at meals. Definitely worth doing, imho. Enjoy!

i would give this a big thumbs up. we didn't have any issues with noise or with it feeling crowded at all. the food was the best we had at a character meal. the character interaction was great too. we really enjoyed everything about this one!

Another positive vote. Both breakfast and dinner were great and they have the strawberry soup on the breakfast buffet too!

i was unable to get a ps at 1900 so i made one for crystal palace. i hope its just as good!!

Briebee, when are you going? Sometimes people double book and then cancel. The other option is to try calling WDW dine from your cell phone ech morning and hit the option for calling from the orlando area for within 7 days. See if there is availability that way. I did that for our departure morning, called around lunchtime the day before we checked out and got a PS for breakfast on our departure day instead of our lunch PS at House of Blues. Another thing is if you are staying onsite check with guest relations or call from your room and see if you can get in. I have found that we almost always get in if we are staying on property, don't know if they hold some tables for resort guests or what......... Good luck, it 's , in my opinion, one of the best buffets onsite.

The seating is crowded, but it didn't bother me at all. Neither did the noise. It was one of the best character meals we had. (BTW, our other fav was CP.) It's nice because Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Fairy Godmother are all "face" characters, which means they can talk. The food was the best of any buffet we went to. Be sure to save room for dessert.

As for not getting a PS, depending on what time of year you are going, you may be able to get a walk up seating. The PS were all booked when we went, but I noticed when we left the Garden Tea Room from tea that the restaurant was fairly uncrowded. When I asked the host he said that showing up between 4:30 and 5pm there would be a chance for a walk up seating. Since we were full from tea that day, we tried it another and were able to get seated without PS (this was the second week of May). No guarantees, but if you really want to go, it might be worth popping over from the MK, since it is so close.

The 1900 Park Fare seems great. I never been there and this summer(september), i plan on eating there one night. I hope to get a Ar for it when
i call in June. :p :rolleyes1

This may seem like a silly question, but... which characters to expect? All Cinderella or do some others come too? The food sounds good!

We love the Cinderella dinner! We've done it 3 times now and have never been disappointed. Last time we went ressie was later (8pm) and it wasn't at all crowded. Would you maybe be able to book a little later, even 7:30pm, and miss the dinner rush?

As for the characters. The Fairygodmother is in the lobby and then Cinderella, the Prince and Suzy and Pearl (the mice) are at the dinner.

Our character interaction was wonderful. The Prince and Cinderella were really good and the food is always very good and we love walking around the GF after dinner. We've watched the Electric Water Parade from their beach.

Cinderella's Royal Feast is my favorite character dinner...my favorite character meal overall is Chef Mickey's though.

This was our favorite buffet! Small, but excellent selection. The strawberry soup is unreal. Characters were great, Suzy and Perla spent a lot of time. The line workers at the buffet were helpful, and were definitely not trying to save Disney and $$. They piled food on your plate if you didn't take it yourself, especially the woman with the desserts! Highly recommended!

3 weeks before our planned trip, we decided to book 1900 Park Faire for dinner. Of course, it was completely booked. I called every few days, but it wasn't until 2 days before we left for Florida that I caught a cancellation for 8:30 on this past Friday. Well, it was worth the work! My 2.5 yo dd just glowed when Cinderella entered the room. I knew that she loved the princesses, but I did not expect such a strong reaction from her. 4 yo ds enjoyed the variety of kids' foods. Dh and I LOVED the food there. I could have made a meal out of the salads and strawberry soup. Yumm!! Be sure to try the pastas prepared frequently and in small batches. Neither dh nor I ever made it to the carving station -- there were too many other good things to try. Dh raved about the apple cobbler with vanilla custard. I enjoyed the bread pudding. Dd and dh had ice cream, of course. We definitely will be visiting this restaurant in the future!!!!!

Here is a link to some photos from our dinner there , 5/24.

We loved it. Good food, great character interaction - notice the look on my liitle one's face when she is with Prince Charming! One note - the Fairy Godmother does not (at least when we were there) visit the dining room so if you want kiddos to get to see her she is out next to the hostess stand. Prime rib was yummy!

We ate here on 5/17 for dinner. It was the best food we ate our entire trip. The atomosphere was great. We were staying at a moderate resort so after dinner we strolled around the grounds and took it all in. I must say we went at 4:30 when they first opened so all the food was fresh and it was not as crowded. it did start to get more crowded when we were leaving but it did not seem too noisy. The one negative i will say was that we felt a little rushed. Even with the kids we usually spend between 75-90 minutes at dinner. I think it is over their time estimate and towards the end I felt like they kept looking at us and wondering whem we were going to go . We will definately go back next trip.
