1900 Park Fare Dinner

We were going to cancel this ADR, but ended up going anyway and I'm kind of sorry we did. We won't be going again. Especially after we used a gift card that had $125 on it and the server came back and said there was only $13 on it and my DH had to pay the rest in cash. We eventually found out that they were having "computer trouble" and the server swiped it twice. That really was a bad ending to this experience. They were able to reload the card, but we had to waste a lot of time going from the people at the restaurant to the GF concierge people who eventually called up and found out what happened. I was so upset thinking that all that money on the card was gone. Be careful if you use a Disney gift card to pay here.

Sounds like a simple mistake by the server. The computers on property are often slow and frequently freeze up. Glad you got it fixed though.
 
DW and I ate at 1900 in Oct,07. We had a great meal and never felt rushed. Our server was super cokes never went emptied, went by to see if food was ok. The step sisters were SUPER and Step mother was tooooooo. Cindy and Prince were SUPER as well. Yes we hated to see FGM and mice leave. We found them in diferent parts of the park. FGM was behind castle and mice where at MGM up front of park as you entered. We seen the mice there all day and same with FGM. Also seen mice at front of Magic Kingdom as well. I believe the change at 1900 Park Fare was good. And I hope it stay for a long time. :woohoo:

They make an awful lot of mistakes which makes me scared to use any kind of gift card or even the dining plan again. In August, when we had the free dining, a days worth of dining credits for all 4 of us were used by someone else at a different restaurant. :scared1: I went to the concierge at CBR to straighten it out, which caused me to miss Fantasmic, and I think if I didn't have all my receipts, they wouldn't have believed me. :sad2: They had no idea how it happened.

You would think they could afford to upgrade their computer system.:rolleyes:

Maybe it was a "simple mistake" but it would have been a huge one if we didn't have any cash or credit cards on us. The server didn't care that there was supposed to be $125 on the card. She kind of looked at us like we were deadbeats trying to get out of paying for the bill and we were vere embarrased. After we got it all straightened out, the person at the front desk of the restaurant asked to see the name of the server and said that she should have been told if there was a problem with the computer.
