Can anyone tell me about the 1900 Park Fare Dinner? What characters, quality of food, etc. We are going to be on the DDP in August, and I need to plan one last dinner. We ate at Chef Mickey's (Dinner) and Crystal Palace (Breakfast) on our last trip. We've planned mostly sit down meals, rather than buffets, but our DDs (7 and 5) would like at least one character meal this trip. Thanks.

We like this dinner. For a buffet, the food is pretty good. There's also a kid section of the buffet with typical kid food (chicken nuggets, pizza, mac & cheese etc). Character interaction was great! The Fairy Godmother is greeting people in the restaurant lobby, and inside is Cinderella, Prince Charming, Perla and Suzy. All in all, this is one of our favorite character meals!

I completely agree with Soarin' Rocks, the character interaction was wonderful when we were there and the food is definitely the best buffet you can get. I am not a buffet fan but this food is upper scale buffet. I highly recommend it and we will be back there to eat in just over a week. I do recommend if you have girls possibly taking princess dresses for them to wear, I noticed most of the girls in their princesse costumes. :thumbsup2

We did this character meal for the first time in January with my two nieces, ages 1 and 4. It was a terrific experience! I liked the food better than what we had at CPalace last fall. Character interaction was great and the Prince was way too cute! With the changes to CRT, I suspect this will become our "Princess" meal from now on.

My step-daughter will be seven when we go. I've planned it as a surprise.

She won't be too old for this, will she?

We have visited twice in once 2003 and once 2005 both times were during dinner. I think it's one of the best buffets that are offered. The charcters are great, it's the only time I have seen Prince Charming during my Disney visits.

We loved this meal! We did it on our first night (a few weeks ago). I was the best buffet I've had at Disney. The character interaction was fabulous too. My DDs (4 & 7) loved it. Suzy and Perla (the mice) came back 3 or 4 times to our table. Perla snuck up on my DD4 and gave her a kiss (she still talks about it). The Fairy Godmother was in the lobby too. She spent awhile talking to the girls, since there was no line.

This was one of our favorite meals at disney! I don't think 7 is too old at all! My DD loved it. She esp liked Prince Charming!

Very disappointing. The character interaction was great. Fairy GodMother greeting you and she spent time with dd as we were leaving. DD was blown away when Cinderella remembered her name. The food was blah at best. Not many selections and not great. Not worth the price.

We loved it! Love the strawberry soup, the kids have their own buffet. The salmon was wonderful. We are definately going back in August (the boys aren't happy about that...oh well).

We thought that 1900 Park Fare Dinner, along with Boma and Cape May are the best buffets at WDW. Very good selection of food, not your typical turkey/prime rib stuff. Check out the menus on allears.
We thought that the characters were great even though my 2 teenage DS were not there for that.....or so they claim

We really enjoyed this dinner with dd (3). Characters were wonderful and we thought the food was really good. The only character we were kind of surprised by was the Fairy Godmother. She just seemed to not want to interact with anyone; she just kind of sat there; no expression of any kind. DH wanted to go tip her over just to see if she was breathing. But other than that, it was a wonderful time.

Dh and I love this restaurant. Last year we saw Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother (in the greeting area), and we also saw Sleeping Beauty. The year before we saw Suzy and Perla. I'm not sure why they weren't there last September, but we'd never seen Sleeping Beauty so it was a nice surprise. The food is great, they make fresh pasta/sauces while you wait.
