1900 Park Faire

What are the characters that appear during dinner? Does it vary by night? We'll be dining there on or around 9/9 (don't have that info in front of me while I'm at work right now...) for dinner. Thanks!

1900 Park Fare dinner characters: Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the two stepsisters.

Thank you everyone for saying not to cancel. We haven't been before so we're unsure, but it sounds worth trying. It is our only buffet.

I too was nervous based on some reviews but i am following through with our plan to go to 1900 park fare. There has to be something on the buffet that is enjoyable. Im not picky but if im not crazy about the buffet i will find a little something to eat and then pig out on desserts, i dont care i have done that in the past in other places. Its all about the kids.

Glad to hear you both are going to try 1900 Park Fare for yourselves. We ate there last Sept for the 1st time & had a good experience overall. Like some previous posters, we also found the food to be average - fine/good but nothing special. However, the character interaction was great - the stepsisters were hilarious! And we also liked the atmosphere of the restaurant as well.

We ate there in January with our two nieces, mostly because the little one is a Cinderella fanatic. We had to wait and hour past our ressie time because the diners that were finished with the food were not leaving....when we were seated our server was a bit absent minded and did not replenish drinks, bring new silverware or clear our dirty dishes...we had to hunt her down for the check. To make matters worse the food was disgusting....too salty, just too gross to eat. The strawberry soup was very good and some desserts were tasty. The best part of the meal (besides leaving) was the characters, they were hilarious, lots of fun and spent a lot of time with the girls.

I believe the poster was more upset by the table they sat at in the side room. I have ADR in Aug. and if that is where they seat us I will request to be moved. I would encourage all to do the same as to force Disney's hand on remodeling the space. This is a link to a very good review of 1900 PF http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=32111756&postcount=63

In this review the poster recommends that this area be turned into the entrance. I think it is terrible of disney to charge this money & then seat people where they cannot view the show.

I feel the food was better before they changed their menu. I was disappointed in the food last August and it used to be one of my favorite dinners.

We were at 1900 PF for the 1st time on Monday night. I must have warned my family 10 times that it could be the worst meal of our trip.
We really enjoyed it! The food and the character interaction were both very good.
We were seated in the very corner of the main dining room. My overall impression is the characters are not handled the same as other character meals. There did not appear to be a formal flow through the room. BUT.... this allowed much more spontaneous interaction with each other. They had us totally cracking up.
My 9 yo DD thought Prince Charming was Prince Eric and we got a lot of mileage out of that. Lady Tremaine thought it quite appropriate that we insulted Prince Eric. :rotfl2:
I almost cancelled too reading all the negative reviews of this place but we woud have missed good food and fun!

Please don't cancel based on my review. Again, the character interaction was amazing. We were seated right in the main room. Just don't go in with high expectations of the food.

We were also seated very poorly at Ohana this week. We were seated at a back table and then they filled in all the tables between us and the characters.:scared1: If we had waited to see all the characters we would have been at breakfast for 3 hours. Luckily we saw Lilo and Stitch within an hour and we had already seen Mickey and Pluto the day before at Chef Mickey's.

We had an incredible experience at Chef Mickey's and I would highly recommend this one for breakfast.

I'm a big fan of the 1900 Park Faire breakfast. Of course, it's different characters. Some people think the food is just "mediocre" but I've never had a problem with it. The Make You Own Omlette Station is nice, and there's really good bacon here. Mmn. Bacon.

I don't want to try dinner there because of all the bad reviews I hear! So we made breakfast ADRs here because the characters are so much fun in the morning!

Lady Tremaine is the wicked step mom.

We also were put in that first room in the corner but we weren't ignored by the characters. Cinderella was the BEST one with us though. My son loved it. Lady Tremaine seemed a bit hurried but the stepsisters were good enough.

But like PP said (the one with the same location) we were unable to see the dance & the entries and that stunk.

The food, well my DH loved it & I thought it was good enough. I wasn't a fan of the desserts though. I promptly got myself a Mickey Bar upon return to a park. LOL!

I thought it was OK, but my husband loved the food here and thought it was much better than Crystal Palace (MY buffet choice). I was planning on 1900 being a one time deal, but dh really wants to do it again next time.
