I apologize if this has already been posted, but I've just gotten back from WDW and haven't throughly read recent posts.

The refurb was completed early so the meal was at 1900 Park Faire rather then the GF Cafe as I had been told. Partly I was looking forward to the plated meal over the buffet, but the characters far made up for that and we were very happy!

Instead of the Suzy, Perla and the FG, the characters were Cinderella, Prince Charming, Drizella, Anastasia and Lady Tremaine. They were so fantastically amusing, we had a blast!

The step sisters were so great and really played up their characters. The prince was, well, extremely charming. My husband had to remind me not to stalk him!

Anyone with an ADR here, be prepared for a fantastic evening!.

Thanks for your post - the pictures are great. I have an ADR for my DH's 40th in a month - how was the food? Not sure if he will like having a character meal for his b-day, but I wanted to try the buffet there.

So glad to hear it. I have a ADR I just made this week. I really wanted to get dd a mini castle cake for her birthday, and this just makes it better.

Did they still have the same menu that's on this website, specifically the mushroom-filled ravioli with pesto sauce?

The food was pretty good, but my family isn't so fond of "mixed up" food. Meaning they prefer not to have meals with a lot of ingredients. We mostly enjoyed the carved meats, the italian salads, I had some paella, my DD had pizza, broccoli and prime rib. I didn't notice any mushroom ravioli, but I wouldn't have been drawn to that. They had what looked like custom made stir fry, carved pork roast and prime rib, paella, some fish dish (I think it may have been salmon), lots of soups, salads, veggies. The food that I ate was very tasty, but again we didn't sample most of the food.

Now, the desserts on the other hand were out of this world. The "adult" desserts were little sample bites of a cheesecake, a fruit tart, a chocolate ganache type creation, a carrot cake...what else??? DD had vanilla ice cream piled high with M&M's and gummy bears with a bowl of the toppings on the side.

This was a lot of fun, even for my husband. But now that you mention a special dessert, I just remembered that I had special ordered the Cinderella slipper dessert for my DD which I never got. Hmmmmm... Anyway, I highly recommend this meal for "kids" of any age. Here's my DD with her magical dessert.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I can't wait to try it.

Thanks for answering. We also ordered a Cinderella slipper dessert, but we told our waitress and she went and got it for us. It was wonderful. I think that you might still be charged for it because you probably used your credit card to reserve it.:sad2:

I didn't leave my CC to reserve it actually, maybe thats why. They didn't ask for it either. Its no big deal, she was so excited to have a bowl of ice cream and all the candy (which she didn't even eat) that the slipper wouldn't have made much difference. I had totally forgotten about it we were having so much fun!

Teehee!!! My DH celebrated his 39th birthday at Crystal Palance last December.......

He didn't have a say on where he went, but he had a blast!!!! Good luck at 1900 Park fare.

I was there the very first night it was back at 1900. I don't have my pictures loaded yet, sorry. I wanted to be sure to mention that they had the famous chilled strawberry soup on the buffet. My favorite item was a pasta pomodoro. Delicious in a red meaty sauce. I had seconds. ;)

Thanks for posting DznyDreamz! Great pictures. Glad you enjoyed your meal. We have ADRs for Dec, can't wait. :cheer2:

Sounds great!

Did anything change during the refurb?...as in is the set-up different? Was it just repairing what was already there?

Thanks for posting...love the photos! I hope the same group is there when we go next Saturday!

I hadn't been in the restaurant before so I am not able to answer. Certainly there is someone on here that has been and can help with your question! I learned so much valuable information on these boards before our trip.

I can't wait to see the new characters! We were there last month and my DD enjoyed meeting the Fairy godmother, but I think she'll get a kick out of the step-sisters! I have heard they can be a hoot!!! Thanks for sharing the pictures!
