For the night after my wedding I was thinking about doing this dinner. It will be the last night that DFi's family will be in Florida and I'm not sure at all if they would go for it. My sister really wants to have dinner here as we have heard really good things about the characters but I'm SOOO nervous the food won't be good. What are people's honest thoughts. My side of the family are foodies so the food has to be good. (Or I'm dead :))

I found the food to be good. Certainly better than most other buffets with characters. This is one of our favorite ones to attend because of the location and the food. If you weren't needing characters there would be many other places I would recommend instead that would satisfy the "foodies".

I think this is your best bet. The other bonus is the location in the GF, it's really upscale for visitors. I took my parents here and they were just so impressed with the GF. It helps give the whole experience a little more class.

The characters are good, the step mother in particular can entertain adults even more than the kids, same with the step sisters;). Really a lot of fun. The usual LOUD factor as with most of these character meals applies here. But maybe not quite as much as some. I would ask to be seated as far back in the area as possible. There are basically three sections, the entrance area, middle and back "wing". We were once seated in the first section and with the new diners arriving combined with the usual traffic, it made for a very hectic location for dining. We had a table in the outer wing next time and that was the best. We have also been seated along the back wall of the middle section with a rather large group (13) and that was good also.

As you can tell, we rather like this buffet:lmao:

I don't consider myself a "foodie" but I thought the food was really good, especially for a buffet. We've eaten there twice with big groups and have enjoyed it very much. I agree that the step-mother and step-sisters are great at interacting with adults. The kids in our group didn't really get the humor. It will be loud in there but I think you would have a good time.

I would reconsider. Not that Park Fair is not good but MOST true foodies dont LOVE the food at buffets... it tends to be a lil too cold, a lil too mushy, a lil too "mass produced". (spoken like a true foodie =)) Also, you said 5/9 people are not huge disney people, so why would you make them go to a character meal? There are some amazing restaurants for foodies at Dis that DONT throw characters down your face. Not sure about your budget but Jiko, California Grill, etc. are amazing! Good luck!

If you have true foodies in your group, I can't imagine them being impressed with a character buffet meal. We did not care for the food there at all, but maybe they were having an off night.

Also, we found the restaurant to be particularly loud, more so than other character meals.

With the combination of having foodies and non-Disney people in your group, I think I would try to find a different place to have dinner.

:goodvibes

I would reconsider. This is not a foodie type place. It is very loud with kids running everywhere. This would not be my choice for a adult meal.

We didn't enjoy the food at 1900 Park Fare. The character interaction was good though.
