Our young family (2 & 6) are planning on dining at the 1900 Park and taking in the fireworks from there. We are staying off-site at Windsor Hills, can we get to the Floridian by car (ie. don't have to worry about scrambling to the monorail after the fireworks)? Any comments about the 1900 are appreciated as well as directions. Thanks.

You can usually park at the resort for up to 3 hours for your dinner experience. It would be fine to have dinner and see the fireworks from the Grand Floridian if you can fit it into that time.

Also- The self-park lot at the grand is a bit of a distance from the building, it is much easier with small children to just plan on paying the Valet parking fee than to walk at the end of a long day. (Just a thought)

Did you plan your meal to end before the fireworks? Remember you can't see them from the restaurant itself so you'll have to eat first and then walk outside to view it.

At the GF, it's worth the $ to valet. The walk from self parking is LONG and across the street (fairly busy). GF is fairly easy to find by car and you can get free self parking for 3 hours with your dining reservation, it's just a hike.

Jumping in here b/c we are also eating at 1900 Park Fare one evening and would like to see the fireworks if possible. Where do you view them and is the view decent?
Also, how much is the valet parking?
