If you were at the nearly 180 stage like me;
What would be your must have meals/ADR's tomorrow?

My dh is already dreaming of jiko..but aside from that..We are open for suggestions

Where to book & why?

I hit 180 last week....My must get reservations were breakfast CP, Lunch LTT and lunch Nine Dragons. Not because they are best or most difficult but because they were requested by my 15 year old and I am SO glad he is excited about the trip. My personal wants were to try 50s Prime Time (for the experience) and Tusker House lunch (I love Goofy)....got those too :-)

It really depends on how many days you will be there, what parks you are planning on visiting, do you have a park hopper, etc.

For example our next trip will be for almost two weeks and we have a park hopper, so we will pop back into Epcot to dine more than once just because we like some of the different options there.

I like to try and get a California Grill reservation during the fireworks at least once per trip. We did it this summer on the 4th of July and it worked great. We didn't have to fight the 4th of July crowds and got to see the fireworks. If you can get Spice Road Table at Epcot during Illuminations or fireworks that is a good option too.

In MK most people try to get a BOG reservation just because. The food at CRT isn't awesome, IMO, but it is fun to eat in the castle at least once.

At Epcot Le Cellier has traditionally been the hardest to get, but I have noticed more last minute availability with it recently. IMO there are some other restaurants that are better.

Disney Springs has a slew of new restaurants worth trying.

Well, here are some things to think about that may influence your decision.

Counter service, Table service, signature, or mix?
Will you leave the park mid-day for a meal, or eat in the park you're in?
What are the ages and genders of any kids in your party?
Do you need/want character meals? If so, which characters?
Dining plan, or out of pocket?
Picky or adventurous eaters?
Any favorites you have to visit, or first trip?

Those questions aside, the hard to get reservations should be first. Cinderella's Royal Table, Be Our Guest, Ohana, Beaches N Cream, Le Cellier all go quickly so grab them first. There may be others in that category too.

A mix -dh loves food

We arrive for rd, leave either for lunch in a resort or after lunch in a park

What are the ages and genders of any kids in your party?
No underage persons-just 2 big children

Do you need/want character meals? If so, which characters?
I enjoy character meals & dh comes along to appease me-any/ all characters

Dining plan, or out of pocket?
Regular dining plan

Picky or adventurous eaters?
That's really funny-I'm picky although I refer to myself as selective (I have both medical issues & i don't have a 'posh palate'
Dh is the total opposite & will eat absolutely anything & everything-he's says it comes from being the youngest of 5!!

Any favorites you have to visit, or first trip?
Jiko (as prev mentioned) is the only requested must do.
I like 50's PT
My favorite restaurant at wdw is blaze-So no problems with that as its cs.

******ive answered questions in the above post**********

It will be our first trip just on our own.
We've attempted this previously-and either dmil, dd or ds decide to come also.
They're very welcome of course-however; I think this time it will actually just be me & dh.
And it will be my birthday.

We always hop between parks-I can't imagine not being able to.
Our trip is 8 days.

Our must do's: Yachtsman, BOG dinner, Ohana breakfast, Rose and Crown Pub lunch/dinner (their stickey toffee pudding is AMAZING), Tusker House, and Cape May Cafe breakfast.

OK, thanks for the answers! If you want a character meal, Tusker House is one that gets great reviews for food quality and interaction. Can be a bit difficult to get a specific time.

Ohana is a good breakfast with characters if you want to do that, though earliest seating is 7:30 am, so you likely wouldn't make any RD.

I love Ohana for dinner. It's a must do for our family.

Liberty Tree Tavern is decent food. This is an easy reservation to get though, so no hurry. We are trying Skipper Canteen this time, but the food is a bit different and you might not want it.

California Grill is talked of quite highly too. Haven't tried it myself, but we'll be trying it next time.

Sci-Fi dine in is fun. Food is decent. There isn't a lot at HS, so this is one we'll do.

Whispering Canyon Cafe sounds like a lot of fun.

Our Must Do's:
Sanaa
50s Prime Time
Kona (Breakfast)
Hollywood Brown Derby
Tiffins
Morimoto's
Ragland Road

(You mentioned being selective because of a medical need. These are my favorites and I am wheat/gluten free, dairy-free, and peanut-free due to allergies.)

Thanks very much for considering my gastrointestinal needs-i liked the view at Sanaa -
I wasn't overly keen on the food nor the service..

It's always been good for us, but we go for a very early dinner (usually right when it opens) and we love African and Indian flavors.

Some of our favorites are BE Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Table, Ohana's and our kids love Coral Reef because of the fish.
