Ok guys for everyone else looking for a headset, which was WAY TOUGH considering um no one seems to use a corded phone anymore.

Radioshack has this item "Modular Headset/Handset Switch", Model #43-2017 for $21. It adapts a corded or 2.5m jack headset to the corded phone.

So you need the above AND a Mobile Phone headset, which Radio Shack has on sale a Voice Star noise canceling one on sale for $9.99 this week.

OR any mobile headset (corded of course) will work with a 2.5m jack on the end (similar to a earphones jack). Walmart had an over the ear or in the ear (convertable) one for $14.95.

Of course while I was out trying to find a cost effective solution to this headset dilemia I found the Singstar Rocks PS2 game I've been looking for as there goes my budget...lol.

When do we get paid...lol

Another headset tip. I just bought the GN 4170 from Office Max for 14.99 and it includes a phone keypad so you dont have to hook it to the phone just the wall. I also bought the plantronics S12 for $104.00 and a $20.00 phone to plug it into. (we only have cordless phones in our house so I had to buy one). Anyway, after comparing the two all day long with 4 different people and the tv volume the same we came to the conclusion that there was virtually no difference in background noise heard by the people on the other line. SO I just saved $110.00 by buying the $14.99 one at Office Max. I really think they have some pricing error because online it is much more expensive.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience here!

I begin on Monday so now I know what to expect. Wow 5 hours is a Lonnnnnnnnnnng time.

The first night is all nerves and wondering what you are doing but if you have a large group - we have 15 people tend to go a lil slower...alot of downtime!

Ok I think I'm set now, Headset, Land Line with no features, Computer is all set up and I even bought myself a new computer stand to make it more comfortable to type. KT27, what exactly is done in training, the program seems so simple, just read the prompts.

I even set up a seperate username on Windows just for work.

I thought I was going to miss today. Hotmail is out and I didn't print the email with the phone # and log in #. I finally found it on my history use.I also had to use my cordles phone cause the new line has no long distance.ouch my ear hurts now! So this pC set up was stressful for me today!

Hey Angela, same thing happened to me with the long distance not being an option on my new line!! Tad bit stressful, to say the least!! But we made it through! :>

It's not as easy as it looks there is alot of things they can throw at you. You need to learn things about whats appropriate for funeral arrangements for certain cultures, shipping - what days & what states accept certain things....they want you to upsell, its not terribly hard but alot to learn...you'll be fine!

Well right now I have the one from Radio Shack. It's a converter and I've attached a mobile phone headset to it since the cheapest "regular modular" one I've been able to find is well over $100.

I've gotten mixed reviews on it, one call said it had an echo, tunnel like. The other two said it was fine.

I guess I'll try it on Monday and see how it goes from there, if it's terrible I'll go out and get another and try it.

The extra username is great, I've loaded all the sites, PDF files extra on the desktop and even used a cute flower display as my background. I also have the AIM set up for my Flowers name on this username whereas my other Windows name is set up for my personal AIM account, etc.

Bothering you again KT27...Are the checks a week behind? What week of training are you being paid for? So I start on the 16th for training..when would I see my first deposit. Sorry I am dense! LOL
Have you given them your availability yet? Just wondering when I have to get all that figured out.

I started this week on Mon. You would get paid 2 weeks from next fri.

No scheduling happens after you graduate.

I'm guessing May 4th would be our first pay day for those who start on the 16th. And that we would get $ for both weeks of training.
