So, my 180 days start tomorrow. And I have all of my restaurants chosen already. When I call tomorrow, can I make ADR's for my whole stay or do I have to call everyday? First-timer here... Thanks!

If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can make your reservations using 180+10, so for 10 additional days.

If you are staying off-site anywhere, you have to call every day, 180 days out from the day you want to dine.

Just know that if you are using the dining plan you will need to call. If you do the online you will still have to put in a credit card. To get the charges off you will then have to call disney and have it changed. They can't do the dining plan online.

I booked reservations for all 10 days of my stay on the dining plan online and never once needed to put in a credit card... certain meals such a akershus and hoop-dee-doo and spirit of aloha are credit card reserve no matter what.

Not true. If you attach your confirmation # for your resort stay and have a dining plan with your pkg. then it will just hold your Credit Card in case you don't show up.

I love the online system. It opens at 6am EST and the phones open at 7am EST. You can see what other times are available close to the time you entered. You can also see what other restaurants are available. So fast and easy to use. You can even book special dining events like Fantasmic DP, Wishes Dessert Party, etc.

This has been my experience as well.

Mine, too. I had to enter my credit card to guarantee Cali Grille and the Fantasmic! package but nothing was charged.

Hey! Tomorrow is my 180 day mark too! :cool1:

I'm excited and nervous too. I will try online and then phone if I have any issues.

I have a question if you don't mind my asking in your thread. :goodvibes

I want to book CRT. I know it is pre-paid (if not on dining plan). Can I use Disney Gift cards? I hope so! :)

Good luck to both of us tomorrow!

Mine was today! I called right at 4am here in CAlifornia. Well, I was at work.

....I hot all of my ADR's at my preferred times. Im so excited!

If you do not have your vacation booked (Waiting for some promos) but you will be booking - do you have to give a reservation ID when calling to use the "10 days out" rule? we will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, we know the dates, but we haven't booked it yet.

Yes, you cannot use the +10 without a confirmed reservation #. If you could, then just anyone could get that advantage and never book a Disney resort stay. Without a reservation, you will have to call/go online daily, 180 days out from each of your dining dates.

As an aside - if you are on the dining plan and want to book a show, be sure you know what category seating is covered by your dining plan.

I actually paid for the Hoop-de-Doo Musical Review before I realized (doh!) that the online reservation system defaulted to Category 1 seating and my dining plan only covers Category 2 & 3 seating. I ended up having to cancel and re-reserve.

I completely advocate doing your reservations online. It's very simple and you can reserve through your dining plan. (Look for a link at the bottom left of the initial reservation window that says "I want to use my dining plan to make reservations")

Booked my ADRs online at 6a this morning and got pretty much everything/time I wanted, give or take a half an hour (even CRT) except the Fantasmic package at MM on 10/13/11. I had to call for that and I got 3:35p (dinner). :thumbsup2

I hope you got everything you wanted, OP!! :goodvibes

I forget how to book the 180+10 online using your reservation number. Not sure when/how the +10 shows up.

When I plugged in a date that was past 180 days, it popped up with a message that said I need to confirm I have a reservation. I clicked on that button and it took me to another page where I plugged in my reservation number so they could verify it. Once it was done, I could book all my ADRs. :thumbsup2

There is also a sentence "I want to use my dining plan to book reservations". It's underlined on the bottom left of the screen. If you click there it will have you enter your confirmation # for your resort.
