It took me to 6:40 for online res to work smoothly...actually booked an extra BOG reservation at 7pm on Thanksgiving...I was frantically hitting computer after waking up at 5:30am
I have a split say booked at BW (1st - from Nov 30-Dec 4) and then moving to AK Kidani from Dec 4-8). Will I be able to book all 8 days with the split stay or just the BW leg of it at my 180 day mark? Should I call instead of using the online booking?
A very big thanks for this post b/c I had done my research and was able to use your link to the old site to make all my Reservations for our Thanksgiving trip!!! When I logged on this morning the new site would only allow me to reserve for the 1st day of our trip. Thanks again!!!

The 180+10 booking lets you book for 10 days regardless of breaks in your reservation! I had 3 reservations for our 11 night stay and was successful for the full 10 days.
This is a fail for us Can't believe BOG is THAT difficult to make, that at 180 days, everyone who's there before you for 10 days could have grabbed those tables.
I did find one for a Table for 2. But there's 6 of us.

But that only seems to work using the old system. We are switching room types on Wednesday of Thanksgiving week, and the new system only let me book 180 + through that Wednesday. The old system would let me book 180 +10, even though we are only staying 7 nights. Effectively with the old system, if you had a one night reservation on site for the first night of your vacation, you could use the 180 + 10 to make all your dining reservations even if you were not on site for the last 9 nights. That can not be done with the new system. Probably one of the changes Disney wanted.

Wow... I can't believe they are gone, either. When I booked on Monday for the Wednesday of Thanksgiving week there was only two times I could pick from 4:20 pm and 8:15 pm. I couldn't believe all the times in between were taken. Reminds me of the old days when trying to get a reservation at CRT for pre opening of the park...

FYI: My 180 day window opened on Tuesday May 28th, and as of that date, there was nothing available at BOG at any time the Wednesday of Thanksgiving week. (Note: that Wednesday was 180 + 4 from our arrival date.) However, we were able to get a 4:15 pm on Saturday November 30th which was the only time and day available from November 23 through November 30. (Note: that Saturday was 180 + 7 from the date we made the reservation)
That is correct... The beginning of your 180 day mark remains the same but the benefit is you can book the entire length of your trip at the 180 day mark (up to +10). Most find BOG available especially towards then end of the +10 window if you are interested in booking there. Hope that helps...
We have used this several times and just did again a few days ago. If you are staying onsite you can book a reservation at the 180 day mark plus 10 days further in. In other words you can book your ADR at 190 days from your checkin...smjj

We have a 1 night at AoA followed by 6 nights at SSR. I was able to do 180+10 on the first ressie. I called WDW Dine, and THEY couldn't modify things I had made, because I wasn't at the 180 for SSR yet. Their system doesn't allow it. I suspect when they actually "fix" everything ( ) that they will fix the 180+10, too.
That said, the only thing I had trouble with was Garden Grill. There's 9 of us, and while I got one for 9 people, it was at 7:00, which is too late for our grandchildren. I was able to do a ressie for 4, plus one for 5 (that one using my DD's info...HER AoA ressie, cc, etc). I'll have to call tomorrow to fix things based on 180+10 on my SSR reservation.
I must say one thing, though. While this is certainly inconvenient for the customer, it does employ more CM's because we have to call.
Totally forgot to book BoG at my 180 day mark for our trip 11/30 to 12/6. I want to go to MVMCP on 12/3 and figured we would go to BoG that evening. No luck for the past few days, though was able to get one for 4:00 for 12/5. Still wanting to go on 12/3, I signed on this am to My Disney Experience and kept hitting the reservation button for BoG for 12/3, and sure enough I finally snagged a reservation for 12/3 at 6:20pm. Of course I cancelled my reservation for 12/5. Now to buy those MVMCP tickets.
