This turned out to be a total magic kingdom day. We had a bagel each for breakfast and as we decided that every morning we would catch the first bus that came for a park, we jumped on the mk one as it pulled up. In the park, we turned right and went into tomorrowland and did the buzz, space mountain , carousel of progress and the transit ride and when we came off that, buzz lightyear was having photos done, so i was straight there!!! After walking slowly up to toontown, we caught the train and rode all the way round to frontierland to ride the btm railroad. The heat kicked in again and we went back to the hotel to chill a bit with a lovely bottle of cider and some chips, dips, friut and jelly which was perfect as we had ressies for trails end that night. To get there, we caught the bus to the magic kingdom, a boat to the wilderness lodge and walked from there to fort wilderness, which was such a fantastic, peaceful route, following around the lake. In trails end, i had a plateful of everything on offer and although leander didnt eat anywhere near the amount i did, we were both stuffed and a walk was all that we could think about! To have caught a bus anywhere ,might have backfired!!!!!!! We followed the same path back to the wilderness lodge and feeling a lot better, we caught the boat over to the contempary, where we waked through and up to catch the monorail to the magic kingdom. The park was quite quiet at 9 o clock and we walked straight on to our very own boat at the pirates ride and after strolling about, we jumped on splash mountain at five to ten, just before the park was closing where we both got soaked but it wasnt cold, not even at that hour. We watched the fireworks and managed to catch the first bus back to the hotel, where i went for a dip before going to bed. Great day and it was the first time 6 orlando trips, did we just visit the one park on the same day which was quite a shock when we thought about it. I just need to mention that ,if you didnt know, that trails end is excellent value for simple but tasty food and you wont be disappointed if you go there. Also it rained for an hour in the afternoon and i actually sat outside in it, drinking my cider and just letting the water fall on me. Talk about refreshing!! Another great thing is the conversations you get with complete strangers on the busses and i had the bus home in stitches with my stories of how the uk cope with disasters like the ash-cloud, the snow on train tracks, icy roads etc. and i always make a point of striking up conversations in this way which normally ends in discussions about american football and basketball which i love. What was also noticeable is how quiet the area is with most teenagers and youngsters in school and although t picked up a bit on saturday and sunday for mothers day, all you really see are couples and families with really young kids that surprisingly makes for a great atmosphere.
