So we just pulled the trigger 2 days ago for a vacation to WDW for Nov 13th-19th. Looking to make reservations for table service online and nothing seems to be available that week, am I really that late or maybe just the system?

That's the beginning of free dining and ADRs get snapped up quickly. There will be cancellations as people's plans change.

I just checked Nov 14th (party of 4, not sure how many you have) for lunch & dinner times in MK and Epcot and see lots of availability during normal meal times. Certain places like BOG lunch/dinner and maybe certain character meals will probably be booked solid right now, but people release their reservations all of the time so keep checking periodically if there are some places you really want.

Yeah I call and all character meals and Bibbiddi Bobbiddi Boutique is all full the entire week we are there. Hoping something will open up.

That week, there were people on here that couldn't get ADRs at 6:00am on their 180+10. Certain weeks seem to be impossible to book around that time. I heard story after story about people not seeing anything right as online booking opened up at 6:00, but most people in our week are not having as much problem, and that's thanksgiving week.

Check out this thread, you may be able to coordinate with someone canceling a reservation.http://www.disboards.com/threads/ne...ad-read-1st-post.3409711/page-3#post-53740415

Just check Disney's website a few times a day. I was able to get everything that I wanted by doing this and that's during the same time frame you're looking at.

Some dates to remember:
60 days prior to trip-people are booking FP+ and may cancel ADRs that interfer with their FPs.
45 days-people will be canceling hotel reservations since that's the last day to do it without penalty with that canceling ADRs.
1-7 days prior-I have read about people booking several reservations for hard to get places (BOG, Chef Mickey's) during their trips because they haven't set plans in stone and then cancel those ADRs when they finalize plans.

So should I go ahead and book when they have left and change if something else becomes available or just wait and take my chances?

If it's very important to have a certain ADR and it's available, go ahead and book it. Then just just keep checking to see if a better time becomes available. When I booked Chef Mickey's, the only time that was available was 8:10pm so I booked it because DS really wants to eat there. Within 10 days of checking everyday, I found a 6:45 reservation.

I had a heck of a time booking certain places, like Yak and Yeti for the week before. I also had tons of issues with the system when my 180 days opened up. I would keep checking back and trying again. I think there was a glitch in the system causing things to go haywire.

There are plenty of places available. Free dining doesn't take fill up that fast. Call Disney direct or check your MDE again. There have been plenty of glitches with this system recently. Just the other night it couldn't tell me MK park hours for the whole summer but it could for every other park. We leave for WDW in a 6 weeks and there are only a hand full of places that don't have ADR's available for middle of summer.
