...

Michelle, your report is fabulous! :thumbsup2 I'm staying at WH (in building 8, but top floor overlooking the pool! ) in 2 weeks time, so your report is very timely for me!! popcorn::
I do have a quick question for you - did you notice any much noise from the pool through the day? (Just curious, really.)
I love how you were able to have your mid-day breaks - we are a party of adults only, but I can see us doing this, too!!

Thanks for sharing again - your pictures are great too. I look forward to reading more.

I didn't have to get dressed, walk out in the heat and stand in line in order to get fake coffee.
:lmao: :lmao: Real coffee in your jammies, might be one of the biggest anticipated perks of staying off site in my mind!

I am LOVING your trip report. We are staying off site at WH for our 2nd trip in March of 2008. I am just loving your on-vs-off site comparison, travel time details, restraunt reviews, park strategies ... really everything!!!

Last time we went to Disney we had a terrible Post-Firework Bus experience and so I am enjoying reading how easy it was for you to exit the parks.

My son is going to LOVE the big Chess Set at WH as well as the zero depth pool that was such a hit last time at AKL.

I am glad you like LeCellier because it is one of our ADRS. Did you think the food at Le Cellier was too salty?

Looking foward to the rest of your report... thanks for sharing!

I'm lovin' this report! We leave in 10 days to stay at the Westgate Villas and I have been trying everyday, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, to get us switched to onsite (which we have never done). I kept thinking I must be missing something.

Then I started reading all the stories about the buses, the lines, the 2-3 hr wait for luggage delivery, the walk to the room at 11pm with a crying baby, etc. etc. etc.

Then I found this report and I gotta tell you, you just sealed the deal for me. I will enjoy every quite night's sleep, I will enjoy no lines to get on an overcrowded bus but a nice comfy car to go straight back to the 2 bd 2 bth condo in, and I will carry my own luggage. And as I'm stretching out on the HUGE couch in the HUGE living room I will be thinking of you and how you saved me so much trouble!

THANK YOU!

Thanks for sharing you trip with us!! I too am glad to hear the good reports about staying off site...particularly at Windsor Hills...since we are staying there in a 2 bedroom condo in just 3 weeks!! We are so excited! And for only $600 for 7 nights...I just couldn't justify staying in a Disney Value hotel with only 1 room and 1 bathroom...especially when traveling with 2 teenage girls. My DH would have been out of his mind!! Thanks again for helping put to rest my few lingering doubts about booking offsite. Can't wait to read the rest of your trip report!!!

Lovin' your TR, Michelle!!! We're staying in a townhouse at WH in April and I am so excited about this trip!! We're only 3 in the townhouse but the price was just a little more than a room at Pop for a week and we have our own heated splash pool!! DS is going to be :cloud9: . Me--well, I have to agree with you about good coffee in jammies first thing in the morning! That Nescafe is just :scared: . BTW, I never realized Winterland/Summerland was so cute--DS would love that!! Thanks for the pics.

This is a great report! I'm kinda wishing I didn't book onsite now... But I've always wanted to stay at WL so I'm looking forward to it. I will keep the condos in mind for future trips - especially if there are more than 3 of us.

Looking forward to more. popcorn::

This report is amazing!! Loved reading it! Thanks for putting in all that time & detail.
Staying at WH in 2 days!!:cool1:

I am with you :thumbsup2 , we are staying at wh townhouse in november - it has a splash pool :cool1: I was able to get the townhome for 950.00 for 9 nights and that included tax AND pool heat:banana: I just cannot imagine staying at a hotel for 9 nights with dh,dd12,ds8,dd6 - we all need our space and the kitchen, extra bathrooms and laundry are all bonuses IMO.

Thanks Michelle for your reply re the pool noise! I sort of gathered that it wouldn't be too bad - and if it is, so I close the windows!!! ;)
Your report is really good. The mini golf looks like fun - I might have to investigate that, too! Oh boy, this trip is getting fuller and fuller by the minute - every time someone mentions something I think "I must do that"!!!
Oh well, that's what vacations are for, I guess.

Keep the report coming, and thanks for your time doing it.

Very nice report. We stayed off property in a house a few years ago and absolutely loved it. We are actually strongly considering doing it again for our upcoming Christmas trip.
