If I send two 16 year old boys to the ESPN club at the Boardwalk to eat while the adults are at the Flying Fish will they be able to use their room key to charge their meal or should I just give them cash. In other words how old do you have to be to charge a meal on your room key?

Thanks

if you do not set it up when you check in, they cannot charge using their room keys. many parents do this to prevent the kids form charging stuff that they are not allowed to purchase.

only you can determine if you trust the kids when not in your presence.

I'm pretty sure you can -- but if they don't offer this at check-in be sure to ask, I think it's not automatic, it has to be added and you may have to specifically give permission in some way.

We've given our 16 year old charging privileges (set it up at check-in) and he was able to charge everything with no problem on the KTTW card, including a TS meal. He was never questioned at all about his age.

My parents gave me charging privileges when I was 10 ( I was responsible) so yes 16 is no problem.

I believe you can set it up when you do online check in. I plan to have my 16 year old (well, he'll be 17 when we next go) have charging priv's. He and my dd like to go to the water park and its a pain for locker rentals and those dumb donuts to have him take cash!

I would also imagine the desk can deactivate the charging if you decide you don't want him to have it after the ESPN. I don't worry about my son using it for stuff he shouldn't, but I do worry a bit about him losing his key and somebody getting a hold of it!
