16 rides down at the same time? What is going on?

It's Saturday, October 15. It's 7 PM. I'm not in the parks, but upon checking the Tip Board in the app, I see the following rides are down:

Alice in Wonderland
Astro Orbitor
Autopia
Big Thunder Mountain RR
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Dumbo
Finding Nemo subs
Its a small world
Jungle Cruise
King Arthur's Carrousel
Mad Tea Party
Winnie the Pooh
Matterhorn Bobsleds
Peter Pan
Splash Mountain
Storyland Canal Boats

Whaaaaat? What is going on that is causing so many closures at the same time? Anyone know?

Probably weather. Today had scattered storms so if there is lightning the outdoor rides close.

Always check the weather and an earthquake map if you see a bunch of rides down at once. If there’s lightning within a certain number of miles outdoor rides close.

There’s been lightning in the area. I’m here now. It’s not raining to bad but the lightning is keeping those rides closed and it’s exasperating the other wait times.

Never mind! I see it's likely weather.

No. There isn’t a daily parade right now but that never closes rides. And fireworks only close the fantasyland rides from the carousel forward plus occasionally the train and small world.

It's almost like we need a sticky reminding people that lots of rides down at once usually means storms in the area.

The lightening and thunder was incredible last night. And rides shut down when lightening is in the area.
