15pts Left Over in Holding Account

What can I do with them? Usually, we are able to use each and every point through trips and/or banking. This year (Nov) we booked a surprise Christmas trip Dec 19 - 23 for the family. We booked a 2br SSR every day except 1, and for that 1 night we booked 2 1brs and went on the wait list for the remaining 2br night. We got a call a couple weeks ago that our 2br did come through and the reservation changed for 1 night from 2 1brs to 1 2br, freeing up 15pts. Feb '06 use year. What do we do with the leftover 15pts? Any good ideas?

With the points in holding status, and close to the end of your use year, I think you are faced with use 'em or lose 'em. I would suggest booking 2 nights mid-week in a studio in January, borrowing a few points from next year to complete the reservation. After treating the family for Christmas, you and your significant other deserve a romantic get away. Figure this out before your December trip so you can work out the park admission tickets in the most economical way, either APs or the no expiration option. Letting points expire is just too sad.

we are in a similar boat for the first time for us. 22pts in a holding account, i had to canceal a day because of work. our use year is Auguts, so we have until July 31st, but i am out of the country June and July. so we are thinking about going to Hilton Head for the first time for a couple days in April or May.
