Maria - thanks for the encouragement.

Today was better eating wise:
Breakfast - Apex meal replacement bar (160 cals), banana
Lunch - .5 cup cottage cheese, piece of pepper jack jalapeno cheese, take 5 candy bar :guilty:
Supper - 90% lean hamburger on wheat bun with pickle, onion and spicy catsup, diet cf pepsi
Snack - take 5 candy bar :guilty: (wanted another but ate grapes instead)
Water - 72 oz so far. It is so humid I get almost as much down the front of me from condensation as I drink. The humidity is supposed to be lower Wednesday.

Exercise - none.

Tomorrow is another day and mybe an exercise day.

Hi Again!

Last night was nothing to be proud of. I ended up eating snack after snack, after snack. I had a good (Cheerios) breakfast this morning, and packed cottage cheese, fruit and Kashi crackers for lunch. I also won't get to work out because my dh invited guests for a cookout for dinner, but I will have the calorie burn from that mad dash when I get home to make sure everything is ready.

It's so hot and humid, I'm finding it hard to have the energy to be active. 92 degrees and 40% humidity (feels like 100), is not typical for New England!

Plus, my boss is on vacation for the next two weeks, so she feels compelled to give me way too many tasks and brief me on all her projects so I can work on them while she's gone...I have a fantastic position I love, but summer is just a hard time to focus!

Kathy -- At this point I'm just trying to one thing better each day. It's hard to get back in the swing of doing everything right, I'm finding. Today is "don't eat a bunch of junk when you get home from work" day. Wish me luck!

Hi to all!! :flower:

I am joining the boat of one thing better each day ;)

TOM showed up this morning - Thank goodness!! For the last three days I have been eating anything that didn't move and then some :rotfl: Last night I went out with some friends to Bahama Breeze - they ordered coconut crusted onion rings and I dove right in :rotfl: Don't even want to think about the calories between the coconut, breading, fat and sauce :teeth:

I am always like this the days before TOM.........

So today I woke up with a totally different appetite. Have already taken the dog out for a 1/2 hour walk. And Cody definitely keeps moving - he has not learned how to stop and sniff everything.

Going back to working with WW CORE program just not going to the meetings. :Pinkbounc

Maria - I agree this weather is starting to get to me and I like warm summers. Notice I said warm not hot!! Chicago has been in the 90s forever and they are predicting 100 for this Sunday with no rain in sight. What happened to 80 degrees? It really slows me down coupled with the humidity. Hang in there - with our goofy weather it could be snowing next month :rotfl2:

Kathy - Hang in there - sorry I can't send you cooler weather but just keep taking it slow and easy. Work on the water - don't want you to dehydrate in this heat. :goodvibes

How everyone else? Moving ok ok maybe not in this heat but hopefully watching the food intake and drink drink drinkg.

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

Linda

Hi Everyone,
I am back, the past 1 1/2 weeks have been very busy for me. The trip to Cedar Point was a blast. While I did enjoy a few treats, nothing as bad as in years past.

This past weekend was my "girls" weekend with my Mom and older sister. This is my Mom's birthday gift to both of us each year. We leave Sat. morning and come home sometime Sunday. This year we went to Grand Haven, MI and shopped and did a sand dune ride.

Last week, for some reason, I was not focused on losing weight and I admit i avoided this board. Part of it was probably TOM started on Fri., I always struggle the 3-4 days before it starts. Secondly, I have come down with a nasty cold, that has settled in my chest; so I haven't been exercising.

This week I am going to focus on getting back on track with my eating, and will add in exercise as I feel up to it. I also need to refocus on drinking my water. Expect to see me here everyday, I have found it helps keep my honest.

Glad you had a nice time. Nice to have your back! Don't worry about not being strict during your vacation adventures. I think that is the time to kick back and enjoy! Now you are home and you can get serious again.

Were you near Sleeping Bear Dunes? We are thinking of going there in 2006. Haven't totally decided yet. We are going to Detriot in October during the kids' fall break to the Henry Ford museum to see the Disney display.

Debra

Good evening fellow losers

Today was another decent eating day:
Breakfast - oatmeal w/maple syrup
Snack - APEX meal replacement bar (more like a candy bar than a meal replacement)
Lunch - chix ceasar salad w/very light dressing and no croutons
Supper - stroganoff (sp) and brocolli, diet cf soda
Snack - Coldstone ice cream :guilty: :guilty:
Water - 68 oz

The humidity level finally dropped to only 54% so I went for a 3 mile walk. Didn't walk very fast (54 m9n) as the heat index was still in the upper 80's. The humidity is supposed to be lower tomorrow also with the temp in the low 90's. Will be an improvement of the high 80's with 80 - 90% humidity. The reprieve is only supposed to last until Friday but we will take what we can get.

Will strive for longer exercise tomorrow since it should feel cooler.

Let's keep movin and losin

the 150 club may have to wait a week or 2, I have a visit from TOM and I am too afraid to get on the scale. so I will know by next thursday! as of last thursday I am still 3 pounds away.

renee

Morning from Sweaty Humid HOT Chicago!! :sunny:

Rule of the DAY!!! - Don't get on the scale when you have TOM!! Ok I am a slow learner :rotfl:

Won't even discuss what the scale said - I am in denial :rotfl2: :sad2:

Forgetting the moment and moving on.......went and got my water.

Everyone keep sending positive thoughts!! Moving and Losing!!

Have a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

OK! I went to my monthly weight in at WWs today and I lost 6 more pounds! I was at 44 pounds, so I skipped the 45 clippie and can not claim the 50 pound clippie!!!!! :cool1:

My exact total is 50.4 pouns. I still want to lose another 12.8 pounds.

It's just so exciting getting new clippies!

Debra

WOO HOO DEBRA!!!

Congrats and looking GOOD!!! :cool1:  :flower:

And you are doing this with no regular exercise.........ok so tell us some of your secrets.

What do you eat in a typical day? And how much do you moooooooooooove?

Share please!!! Success stories are GREAT!!

Have a magical Disney Day!!

Linda

Linda - the humidity here is finally bearable. It is in the low 90's with only 50% humidity. By Friday it is supposed to be back up to areound 89% humidity and temps in the mid 80's. Hope you get some releif from the heat and humidity soon.

Debra - great job with the new clippie.:cool1: :cool1: Share your secret. We can all learn form everyones sucesses.

Have a great day. Must get back to work.

It's no secret, you just have to consume less calories than you burn. I try to not go over 1200-1300 calories per day. I am not eating a lot like I use to. I share food with my family when we eat out, or get take out boxes and put at least half or more in for later.

A typical day when I am only eating at home would be:

Breakfast: 1 cup of 15 calorie Minute Maid Raspberry Passion
1 English Muffin (120 calories)
1-2 tbs of Smart Squeeze butter spread (5-10 calories)

Lunch: 1 ounce of 2% cheese (Kraft packaged sticks-90 calories)
2 Bistro Multi Grain crackers (80 calories-I love these!)
A bowl of carrot sticks (? calories, I don't count these)

Afternoon
Snack: 1 Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich (140 calories)

Supper: I use a small plate and eat whatever the family is having, but I just get small portions (estimate 500-600 calories for this meal)

Evening
Snack: 1 Mini Bag of low fat popcort (100 calories)
1 Diet Coke (0 calories)

Misc. Daytime
Snack: I pick at a few extras during the day, for example I got a hand full of jelly beans out of a machine at the mall today, I don't know how many calories those had, or I might eat a Chips Ahoy cookie during the day, I usually allow myself 1 'grabby' type food of up to 100 calories. (100 calories)

Total for the day: 1255 calores

That is a VERY typical day for me when I am home, now when I eat out, that can change, but I try not to eat out more than once per week.

Debra

Today went fairly well, I stuck to my diet. I still do not fell up to exercise, whatever this is that has settled in my chest is just taking all of my energy. I came home to find that DH had cleaned the house, which was a nice surprise since I was dreading it.

Debra - We were about 2 hours south of Sleeping Bear dunes. I have been to Sleeping Bear Dunes a few years ago. It is a very pretty area with alot of different things to to.

DEBRA!!! WOO HOO!!!! :earboy2: You are one great clippie grabber! :) I know you're feeling GREAT!!!

Just got back..oh have to say I saw TC2009 hit 175!!! WOW She's on a ROLLL!!!! :) I have a crappy time in Memphis...ate birthday cake 3 days in a row!!! UGH! The only saving grace was that I walked 4 miles each morning I was there....but I still feel bloaty from having that sugar...I did stick to just one slice....so that was okay...but I doubt I'll see my 65 pound clippie on tomorrow's weigh in! And I did the deposition with the veterinarian...just a snippet of that melodrama....defense attorney failed to show...tried to intimidate me saying I didn't "subpoena" him or serve him notice of the deposition as required by rules of procedure...little did he know I KNEW THE @$^$^% rules of procedure and he was given the proper notice and I wasn't falling for his BULL! He ended up participating via conference call and objected to almost EVERY line of questioning I gave the vet....the vet saw me breakdown and cry (before the depo) gave me a hug and told me a good joke about the difference between catfish and lawyers...it was just beyond stressful and I feel pity for the good attorneys out there who have to wade through all the @O*%& for justice. Pitiful. Why can't stress burn calories??? I'd have my 70 pound clippie if that were possible! :)

But it's GREAT to be back and see all these losers and know that I"m going to be one too...plus I had lots comment on my MAJOR loss...I've only lost 3 pounds from my net when I left Memphis and I guess all this walking has shifted the weight and that's why I fit into those 6's...one friend even gave me..."you look like you're at GOAL" speech...puhlease! :)

Let's get losing gang!

Tara, nice to have you back! Sorry you had a rough time, I would have eaten cake every day on those conditions too! But that is in the past, and (as Scarlett O'Hara said), Tomorrow is another day!

I just smile at those 'goal' speeches now. You go girl! That new clippie will be here soon!

Debra

Hello Hello Hello! Sorry I was gone so long...so what did I miss? I will try to get to you all, but if not, I apologize. It is late, I am tired and I am also ready for a nice and LONG massage!

Debra: Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will try the cal burn trick...see if it works.

Maria: I went to Borders today...and WOW!! Instant heaven for sure...but very pricey. I want to rent Borders for a day. Plus also that cute book store shop runner... :lovestruc Ooh la la!

Thanks Tara!!!! Sorry about your luck...and you got a goal speech? WOW!

I went to CP, and Starbucks (I must say, I prefer Panera judging from the drivethru window) and also passed by ColdStone!!!!

I walked a lot, drank lots of water and nothing else...and also partook in a lot of bad dancing!

Must dash...somebody update me when you all get the chance. Sweetest dreams, all!

Hi all :goodvibes

Debra-great job on your weight loss!! 12 more lbs to go..how great is that?!?!?

Tara-Welcome back :cool1: . It's great you got to walk while you were in Memphis. Gee....that could be a song..wait it is :rockband:

I've had a fairly decent week...except went out to eat twice. It's too hot up here in NEw England to cook! I drank my water Mon, Tues, Not Wed. though. The rest room at work wasn't working, and I wasn't going up the the 3rd floor everytime :rolleyes1 .
First night had roasted chicken which wasn't bad...but had 2 rolls :rolleyes2 w/cinammon butter :rolleyes2
Last night Chinese..not good.We won't even go there.
On the positive side...I haven't snacked. Did my aerobics class Mon & will do it tonight tool

Have a great day everyone!! :sunny:

:sunny: Good Morning!! :sunny:

Chicago actually saw rain for the first time since 4th of July :goodvibes

WHOA - who switched up the smilies while I was sleeping  They aren't in their normal spots!! ::yes::

Anyway we had a little rain about a 15 minute downpour with another thunderstorm for today.

Been thinking alot and really need to evaluate my calorie intake. Doesn't come down to the old saying burn more than you take in :teacher:

So my goals today is to drink my water, not eat after 7:30 and count my calories.

Already that could be a challenge because I am going out to eat tonight......an italian restaurant.......any hints?????? I am leaning towards the fish and maybe a salad with dressing on the side.

Duck - sounds like you had a good week (ok let's forget the Chinese) :rotfl: Let us know how your aerobic class went.

Jen - Welcome Back - Missed your cheery notes of encouragment!! :bounce: Have to ask you what is a CP? It is too early in the morning and the brain is not working.

Tara - Sending you :love1: What an ordeal to go through with that nasty lawyer!! Will this be resolved soon? You must have felt good getting in your walks to offset the cake!! Could always be worse you could have not walked :cheer2: So good for you!! :cool1: You are back home and can work on that next clippie!!

Regina - Hope you feel better soon ::yes:: Summer sickness is the worst!!

Anyway almost done drinking my coffee and just got an email from DD20 in Spain. She is doing GREAT!! Miss her ALOT - can't wait to see her........

OM MY GOSH!! Major NEWS ITEM - I almost forgot - DD17 has a JOB!! :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: She will be starting when we get back from Spain at a pizzeria about 15 minutes from us. Taking phone orders and handling carry outs!! Thank goodness - she can start paying for her car insurance and I won't have to take the car keys away from her on August 31st. :bounce: :bounce:

On another note the BF comes home in about 10 days and will see how she handles that (DH and I are not happy but have decided we can push the issue and must ride out the relationship - therapist agrees). So far so good........no more xanax and they are talking about taking her off the prevised right after Spain. She never got the increase in Prozac so she is still on the lowest doseage. Only down spot is that she is still not sleeping in her own bed.........but we are making progress ::yes:: ::yes::

Off to start listing my calorie intake!! :teacher:

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

Linda

Linda- CP=Cedar Point, America's Rockin' Rollercoast...located in Sandusky, OH and a mere 1 hr, 30 minutes from my house not counting rest stops!! Congrats on DD17 getting a job! Please give her a HUG for me...and holy COW!!! They did switch us the smilies (webmasters: a little more notice would be GREAT!!) Glad I'm back though! And where are all the hug characters?

Tara- Hugs are still going out to you...but what happened? Are you at liberty to speak about it? And most importantly-are you a lawyer?

Duck- Today is a new day...brand new, as in, nothing from any other day could possibly mess this one up-make it what you want-you go Duck! day. You can do this!!!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :flower:

We are only about 3 hours from Cedar Point! How many of us are in the Midwest? We are in Muncie, IN, so actually Kings Island is closer to us (we can go there and back with in a day--a LONG day, but still within a day).

We are going camping next week to Hueston Woods in Ohio (near Kings Island). Anyone been there before? I am hoping to hike those pounds away!
