Morning Losers!! :sunny:

Chicago is looking at 80 degrees today!! WOO HOO :flower: Too bad I still have to work......

Was able to get some exercise in last night. DD20 and I went to a nearby park district lake and walked there for an hour. She has a motor built into her butt :rotfl: so she kept me moving at a good pace :rotfl2:

Eating is still not totally recovered from the weekend. Have to focus on getting my water in. Yesterday I was at a junior high in a situation that if I drank all my water there would have been no one to give me a break. Today is alittle more flexible :drinking1

Megan - You go GIRL!! Visits with Grandma don't count:):)

Tigercheer - Keeping good thoughts for your Grandpa. :wizard: God bless you and your family - let us know what is happening. By the way - how did the band tryouts go?

DJ - How about we all come with you to WDW and run an experiment? How many miles can this group walk off and HOW MUCH WEIGHT COULD WE LOSE? COUNT ME IN!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: Most important hint is to keep drinking your water.

Lesli - WOO HOO!!! Clippie is looking GOOD!!

Kathy - Where are you?????????? Miss hearing from you........how is your daughter?

Everyone have a bright sunny energized day and of course make it a Magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

Thanks for always being there for me :grouphug:
Linda

The :sunny: is shining here today. It looks so much nicer than yesterday. Hopefully, I can stay awake enough to enjoy it. Was up until after 1AM making cupcakes for DD17 to take to the kids that she asst. teaches. It's her last day. She kind of forgot and didn't really have time to do it while finishing her final HS project and shopping for graduation clothes. Of course when she remembered it was 10:45PM! So tired, I just can't stay up that late anymore now that I am doing this weight loss journey.

I went shopping yestereday and I feel exhilerated! Long story short (long version in my journal), I can fit into 18W.......THAT ARE NOT STRETCH JEANS! It was even more thrilling to find that I could fit into 14/16's for shirts! :faint: I am on my way and the smaller clothes are looking easier to attain all the time. I get to go to DD7's field trip on Thursday, looking good and updated, rather than frumpy.

DJ - When are you going to be down in WDW? We will be there from Jun5 - 16. I think that if you try to stay within moderation for eating, you should be fine down there.

Tiggerkeeper - Glad to hear the BP is under control. I hear ya on getting the house ready for graduation. Ours is Sunday and at this point, it looks like I will never be done in time.

Tara - BACK AWAY FROM THE CHIPS! ;) Keep moving while unpacking and you will be back on track in no time.

Chimera - WOW! 170! That is great.

Tigercheer - :wizard: :wizard: For you and grandpa. :wizard: :wizard:

Linda - You'll be recovered soon. The walking and drinking (water that is) will help you get there fast.

Everyone have a great day! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

I'm starting off thinking I'm 150 today...ya know some days you just wake up and think "I CAN DO THIS!" or "I AM DOING THIS" and some days you just wake up and say, "OH, no not another day of losing" Well, I officially had a I can do this morning...it's been over two weeks since I've felt that positive urge...maybe it was the snugness of my pants I have on...but whatever it is I've committed to slimfasting 2 meals a day until the end of May...that might help me get back into the 170's and push closer to the 160's...I really want to see the 150's in July so that means I have to stop lollygagging around. I'm drinking my water and finishing preparing my house for the next round of boxes that will arrive on Sunday when dh returns...I ask myself...what could POSSIBLY be in those boxes that I really need???? I know alot is Christmas and holiday deco's so hopefully there won't be too much I need to put up and away.

Linda! Can I borrow your daughter!!! Well, you have inspired me...if my 6 year old is breathing better today...I think we'll take a hike later on through the Botanical Gardens here...they will walk all day playing with their friends but when I mention walking around the neighborhood all of a sudden they feign weakness....I'll be thrilled to see dh again and have time to get my walks in...it really makes the WHOLE difference between having a losing week and a gaining.

Lesli!!!! Aren't you SOOO excited!!! I am sooo proud of you and your losing ways....you're doing it...you're doing it....you're a loser of the best kind! :) :cheer2:

Off to get my first glass of water in today...

Did I tell you guys that my 7 year old fell and hit her head on a corner stone and required stitches?? It was our second day in our new house and today we get our first visit to her new pediatrician to have them taken out...it seems I haven't had a spare moment to think much less get organized! :) Our house has a showing at 9:30 this morning in TN..please send some good thoughts to the buyer! :)

Tara

Get out!! The second day??? Well, you have to laugh in a way......not that your DD got hurt, but that you are getting to know the Dr.s so early........ :)

Keep plugging, girl. Glad things are going well with your move. And here's some :wizard: for the old house selling.

Had way too much BBQ at a place in Ohio......a Texas chain of somesort. But graduation was FANTASTIC!!! I was so proud of my niece. What a lovely young girl she is. It's good for the soul to see a young woman and her fiance on the right track. Less than two months and they will be married. I can't believe it. I'm going to be crying like a baby. I was crying at graduation, I can imagine what I'm going to be like at the wedding.

And we had a total BLAST with our friends from college. He is the Dean of Residential Students there. We got to meet their three children and they had a great time together. We went down memory lane more than a few times with all of the college yearbooks out. Stayed up till after midnight every night.

You guys are doing great.......even if the scale doesn't always say what we want, we will keep going and never give up. that's one thing I have in my favor........I never want to give in or give up. :cheer2:

WELL......I weighed in today and I am down another 5.2 pounds (this is over 2 weeks).

SEE MY NEW CLIPPIE!!!! And I am only .6 pounds away from the next one! That should happen on my next weigh in (unless I lose it over the next couple of weeks).

My OTHER good news.............I am in the 160's now!!!! I am at 168.8!!!! Those 150's are looking closer and closer!!!
DJ

That is FANTASTIC!!! Way to go!! Oh, how exciting.........when I get there I think I will call the local news station.... :teeth:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Good going!!

Hello everyone. Just joining this forum, so I thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Chanelle, I'm a 27 year old female, married 5 years with no children (by choice).

I'm planning a trip to Disneyworld just about a year from now in late April, and I decided it was the perfect time to make a commitment to losing some of this extra weight. When I found this board, I gave a little :cheer2:

Welcome Lacerta. Sounds like your plan is a good one. Just watch portions and don't weigh too often.

Tapes...........I liked Walk away The Pounds with Leslie Sansone. Now I have a treadmill and I like that, but I liked the tapes also. Firm tapes are popular around this board also, but I haven't tried any of those yet.

Nice to meet you. :wave2:

:jumping1: :jumping1:

DJ!!! 160's!!! I don't know how I missed it!! I've been trying to catch up and somehow slipped right by the fact you had left the 170's!!! WOWEE!!!!! Aren't you SOOO EXCITED?????

I just know you'll see the 150's in a few short weeks!!!!Please share your tips for these last 10 pounds you got off!!! I think anytime someone dips into a new tens slot that they should share what they think helped them and what they're working on...it really helps to hear it!

WAHOO!!!!!

Mom of SBB! :) Ooohhh, barbecue...I'm salivating already!! I'll have to slimfast the rest of this month because there are about 5 new barbecue places I'm dying to try here...I LOVE it!! And how sweet for your niece! They do grow so quickly and we think time is just standing still...when you see those milestones in their life it's like a reality wake up that WOW they're grown now! :) Take lots of tissue for the wedding! :)

Linda-- I am SOOOO happy to hear Chicago is looking good today. My twin DDs are there right now on a field trip with their 5th grade class. I had to get up at 3:30 am this morning to get them ready and to the school for the bus. We have been HOPING they have a nice day. Thanks for letting me know!

DJ - How about we all come with you to WDW and run an experiment? How many miles can this group walk off and HOW MUCH WEIGHT COULD WE LOSE? COUNT ME IN!!!! Most important hint is to keep drinking your water.

Wouldn't that be fun! To all meet at WDW! I agree with the water. ACTUALLY it does help me not to eat when I am hot (and in June, I will be hot at WDW). But we love trying new food and restaurants at WDW, but I am limiting it to once a day (and eating light the rest of the day).

Leslie--I went shopping yestereday and I feel exhilerated! Long story short (long version in my journal), I can fit into 18W.......THAT ARE NOT STRETCH JEANS! It was even more thrilling to find that I could fit into 14/16's for shirts! I am on my way and the smaller clothes are looking easier to attain all the time. I get to go to DD7's field trip on Thursday, looking good and updated, rather than frumpy.

DJ - When are you going to be down in WDW? We will be there from Jun5 - 16. I think that if you try to stay within moderation for eating, you should be fine down there.

That is wonderful! Isn't it more fun to shop when you get into new sizes! I bought my first pair of NON elastic jeans in the past 8 years. That was something (and I still find myself just trying to pull them down in the bathroom instead of unzipping :rotfl: , but I will get use to it).

You are leaving WDW the day we arrive! We will be there from June 16th until June 21st. My DDs don't get out of school until June 13th this year. So we will just miss each other.

Pamela--That is FANTASTIC!!! Way to go!! Oh, how exciting.........when I get there I think I will call the local news station....

Thanks! I will actually be ready to celebrate in about 20 pounds. Right now, I do feel good, but I know there is still a long road ahead. But I am excited!

Tara--I just know you'll see the 150's in a few short weeks!!!!Please share your tips for these last 10 pounds you got off!!! I think anytime someone dips into a new tens slot that they should share what they think helped them and what they're working on...it really helps to hear it!

Thanks Tara! Things are going much slower this week. I haven't seen the scale move this last week's weigh in. That is kind of frustraing, but we did have a funeral this weekend in another state, so I was out of town all weekend, and well....things are just going a little slow right now.

I know what you mean about those last 10 pounds. Those are the HARDEST! I still have about 28 pounds to lose, so I have a ways to go before the last 10 pound battle.

As for what helps--I don't know. Trying new low calorie foods (I like looking for new things at the store). Following a pattern each day of when I eat and an approximate amount of calories. I have about 500 calories during the day, another 500 for dinner and then 100-200 some other time during the day when I need something extra. I try to never go over 1200 calories a day. That is basically it for me.

I'm sitting here watching Regis & Kelly at Disneyland today (tomorrow they will be at WDW). I can't wait to go!!!!!!

DJ

Hi everyone. Not many updates. Thanks for the prayers and pixie dust! Band director refuses to tell us who made the cut. I trust his logic though. He's the one who got us to Memphis, FL, Cleveland and almost playing the national anthem on TV!

Twinks- Go you!!!!

Go westjones!!!! Congrats! :thewave:

Lesli-Congrats. Doesn't feel good to be in "normal" clothes? I can't wait!

Thanks Lesli and Chris for your words!

To all else: onward, downward and positive attitudes!

Tiger, a fellow band person (or band geek as I like to call myself)! :goodvibes I love band! What do you play? I'm clarinet personally, I can't wait for the Memorial Day Parade we get to march in, with those hot outfits :rotfl: especially the plumes (Little feather things we stick in our hats) ::MickeyMo

Heya Twinks! We don't have plumes. We have berets. Visiting bands call us nipple heads.:earseek: It's the truth!!!! :earseek:

We wear band teeshirts and jeans. With my "downage poundage", I should look somewhat better than I normally do. If I'm squad leader, then that means I get to be a Row Guide and yell "Guide Right" (non-banders, that means look to your right and make sure you are in line, not too far up and not too far back) every once in a while. If not, well, let's hope not!

I can't wait. That concert couldn't come soon enough!!

I weighed more than 150 when I was 10 years old! I can't see shooting for this as a goal right now -- too ambitious! Maybe I'll reconsider after I make it to "Onderland."

Hi Judy :wave2: It's never too soon to join the 150 club, here you'll find a wonderful supporting group of women (and perhaps men). Doesn't matter if you're at 160 or have quite a bit to go until even ONEderland, this makes it so much easier to even face that scale, welcome and stay!

Hi Judy!!!!!!!!   Welcome! Stay awhile; you're sure to find lots of great support and inspiration. You can do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Twinks, I dunno about you or anybody else, but I believe in you!!!!!!!

You can do this Judy!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats for making this first big step!!!!

Judy!!! It's never a bad time to join the 150's club!!! We CELEBRATE every 10 pound jump down to the 150's...we're here to keep you excited about having a fit and healthy body and heart...and what an inspiration you'll be to others!!! There are lots of 150'ers shooting for Onederland...you'll be in great company...it took me 10 years to see Onederland again....but with WISH, that Onederland only took me about 6 months to see...I hate to think how long it would have taken me without it! :)

TigerCheer and Twinkles!!! Have a great time doing band...I have some of the fondest memories...our band was PITIFUL...couldn't walk a straight line if it were drawn for us...but we did have lots of fun...I played flute and dontcha just love the way those polyester uniforms smell after a hot march?

Keep up the great work gang!!
Tara

Note: I am now holding steady at 193. With TOM no less!! What a great personal victory!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our band is awesome! 60 members strong. We had to buy new uniforms because we didn't have enough. I could fit an elephant in my band pants...with room to spare. (Alright, alright. A baby elephant maybe.) It's great fun at my school! "Yeah toast!" (Lynworth Hayes or something-or-others...Junior Drum Major introduced us to the glories of 'Toast'.)

Yay Tiger :D Go you, go you, it's your birthday. Ooh ooh :thewave: :cheer2:

How awesome!!! I know! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been marked on my ticker. Stupid TOM! He's been playin' with my scale again!

Thanks Twinks. Did ya get my PM?
