Hey everyone! I just have a quick minute to stop in. I was on the computer last night trying to do that dollar hotel thing on the budget boards. What a waste of my evening. Actually I watched it all day. I started at 6 before work and spent all day fooling with it. I'm sure it will suck me back in next week too!

Well, I hit my goal and broke 180! I weighed in at 179.4 this morning! It was so great to see those numbers. Especially since I only did one day on the treadmill this week, I didn't drink all of my water everyday and I had McDonald's a few times this week. I thought for sure that not only would I not make my goal but that I would have gained. I guess maybe things evened out a little this week. Next week it's gack on track. My next goal is 175. I'm hoping to hit that within the next two weeks. DD's birthday is in March and I'd like to be close to 170 by then. About four weeks.

Morning workouts are not my thing. I already get up at 5:45 and that's a struggle. I kind of like the evening even though it feels like it takes up my evening. I like taking a shower afterwards and putting on my pj's and feeling so fresh and comfortable.

Hello all! It is late I know but I can't sleep so I thought I would post something. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I weighed tonight and I have lost 2 more lbs. I am now offically 168!!!! :cool1: Now for the bad news I think my DH may be having an affair. I know it may be crazy but I just have this gut feeling that something is up. Perhaps I am just suffering from low self esteem and it is all in my head. Or at least I hope it is all in my head.

I really need some support so if anyone has any advice please post or send me a PM.

Melissa: The beach is wonderful to for walking we live very close and my DD loves the water so I push her in the stroller which gives me a little extra work out!!!! :beach: You are a braver women than I to take care of 8 2-3 year olds! Good way to work out I am sure!:rotfl2:

Worfiedoodles: I agree with you the water weight sucks! But just think it will be over next week and you will feel much better. Have fun tonight with all the boys. I also love those 100 calorie packs. Especially now that they are coming out with so many different things to choose from! :)

Melissa-I'm with you about the treadmill. That is my major goal this week, is to start getting on it more and doing at least 2 miles. I've been doing a few workout tapes lately, but I need to get on the tm and really sweat. Good luck this week - Lisa.

Alright ladies where is everyone???

Despite my fears I am trying to stay focused on my weight goals and not worry about all the other stuff. I had two 5 mile walks today. One this morning as usual with my DD and one this afternoon with just me and the dog. I have been feeling so full of energy since I started walking early in the morning. It has really helped me keep my focus for the entire day. I have managed to stick to my plan and not eat any of the junk food that has been in the house for the past couple of days! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Melissa did you get to walk on the TM? You should be down here I am so much more motivated to walk when I am able to do it outside and living so close to the beach is just frosting on the cake!!!

Hope this week is going to be big loosing week!!!!!!! Never thought I would be this excited to be a looser!!! LOL:rotfl2:

I haven't been around because I've been pretty sick the last couple and I could barely even go online let alone feel like anything else. In spite of that I still have tried very hard to eat sensibly and haven't really snacked at night like I usually do (though being sick did sort of help that that one day). Lately it seems like it's easier to take small portions. I've been cutting back little by little and I am definitely thinking my stomach has shrunk a bit.

I have to lay off the pop but I want it when I'm sick. You know how it is...and on top of all of that it's TOM so I'm just really wanting comforts. I will be back to walking probably on Wednesday though. Unless I feel better by tomorrow, but I'm still kinda meh.
 
CobraBubbles I hope you feel better soon. I know how hard it is to on track when you are not feeling well.

Belle1230 I live near the coast here in jersey but not too close. I am about 2 miles away and it is not the best neighborhoods to walk through. Besides this is the first time in a week it has been above 32 in the afternoon.

Pretty busy here with midterms this week
 
Belle1230 - I love to walk the beach I can do that for hours but the TM I struggle to do 2 miles! :sad2: Keep up those 2 a day walks and you'll be at goal in no time!!

I am heading out to meet DS to pick up DGS for the week. We just found out we are going to be grandparents again and DIL is very sick. And the last thing you need when you are sick is an eleven month old running around. Of course, any excuse to pack his bags and run to grandma's house is fine with me! :rotfl:

Melissa-I did do the treadmill. I get home from work @ 6 and DH gets home @ 7, so I jumped on it as soon as I walked in the door. I did 2 miles while watching the news. By the time he got home, I had already had my shower and was starting dinner. I plan on doing the same thing tonight. I hope yours went well.

Congratulations on you newest grandchild. I'm sure with an eleven month old around your house, you will get plenty of exercise. Have fun - Lisa.

I had two more great walks today. I am so glad the weather has been good enough to walk outside!

Melissa: Congrats on the new Grandchild!:) How many kids and grand kids do you have? My DD is the only grand child on both sides. We have talked about having another baby as soon as DD starts k-5.

Hello everyone! I've been MIA because I got sucked into that $1 hotel deal for the last week. Luckily I was able to get a room at POR in September for free so DH doesn't think I'm completely nuts!

Anyway, I did terrible on Sunday. But it didn't seem to affect me too much. Monday I was definitly up and back at 181 but I was also starting TOM. Today I was back down at 179.8 so not too bad. I haven't done the TM in a week at least so I've got to get back into that and get back to drinking my water. I've been sneaking in the diet drinks and I don't want to get hooked on them again.

CobraBubbles- hope you are feeling better soon. I know how it is with the drinks. I always want sodas when I'm sick.

Belle1230- I'm jealous of your daily walks. It would be wonderful to be able to walk the beach. The TM can be so boring. I'm hoping it will warm up here soon and I'll be able to walk outside again with DD and the dog.

hobbester- I do my TM at night and I always feel like it takes my whole evening up. I don't get home until about six and have to fix DD supper first then I can walk and take a shower and stuff. At least DH doesn't get home until after 8 so I do have time.

Melissa - Congratulations on the new grandchild!
 
Hey losers! I don't how you guys up in the frozen north do cold all the time it is in the 20's here in the south today and I am freezing! Good excuse to sit by the computer and play! DGS is napping so I am steeling a few minutes to play. Thanks for all the congrats! So far we only have one grandchild - DS and DIL want a girl this time but if it is a boy they say they will try again. :rolleyes2 I'm just glad I'm still young enough to enjoy them! :rotfl:

kt_mom - TOM week doesn't count :joker: seems we are always up at least a pound that week! Good luck! Back away from the diet soda!!!!!!!!!

Lisa - I am getting quite a workout today more fun than on the TM! Good for you on the workout! Keep it up!

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the encouragement I'm much better now! I haven't been getting out for my walking though because it has been bitterly cold and I can't always get out somewhere to walk somewhere warm. Still I'm doing better on eating.

I got a big bag of grapefruits and have been having them and a little cup of vanilla yogurt in the morning and it's great (I love grapefruits though!!) and I'm doing the yogurt more for my stomach...and I not only want to be thinner but also healthier. I'm feeling better already though I tell you.

I have been keeping my portions normal and not stuffing myself. That's what I'm most proud of.

I've been working my plan this week. Every day has a purpose. For me writing it down is a powerful thing. Food has been okay. I usually have a salad for lunch. A couple of times this week I joined friends for lunch and ate more than I usually do. By dinner time it was back to moderation, moderation, moderation.

I plan to take a long walk tomorrow. It should be 7-8 miles. My first endurance training day. We shall see.

CobraBubbles - congratulations on the portion control! It's hard when you are looking for comfort. It has to warm up soon.

kt_mom - Woo-hoo! That is such a cool deal. I can't devote the time to it, but envy those that have scored.

Hi, I hope it's okay to join your group! I'm 47, married with three teenagers in the house :crazy2: . We live in the cold cold north, so it's exercise tapes or the YMCA for exercise for me these days. I'm trying to stick to 1200 calories a day right now, and just started a food journal a couple of days ago. So far, I think it's keeping me on track. I'm 5'5", and I started out at 189 pounds in early January, and as of this morning I had gotten down to 175. I hesitate to post that, because it seems like whenever I tell anyone what I weigh, I immediately gain 2 pounds! Does that happen to anyone else? My husband is on his annual weight loss kick, so I have support in trying to get to the Y and we're trying for healthy dinners. The kids are miserable!:lmao: I'm thrilled with my weight loss so far, and I'm shooting for 150, but I've been here before where I get really motivated and the motivation just runs out on me. I'm hoping the journal and finding some support this time (here, hopefully) will keep me going until I reach my goal. Thanks for listening.
