150 Club....Care to join??? Continued.

Just a quick checkin! Hope to get time to read posts!!! AAGH Life coming at me fast these days, but I'm committed to losing some major weight this year, I am exercising over an hour a day and making it part of my day...have to get it in there before anything else! And it WORKS!! I actually do NOT want to eat junk...which is a huge change for me...I've always known that would happen and have done it in the past but it's fulfilling to know I'm sticking with it this time...no excuses!!!

I weigh in on Tuesdays...I'm shooting for 10 pounds a month and will adjust my eating/exercise to get there as I go down...it's aggressive but it's about time I got AGGRESSIVE and not complacent about this gain!!! :)

GREAT JOB KAT!! I did see that beautiful picture!!! I'll be posting some soon probably on a day when I feel like I'm struggling, that will sure give me a kick in the tail! :)

Hello to everyone else as well! Worfie.. good luck getting under 200.. I know you can do it! and it's so weird but when you are over 200 you feel like it's impossible.. but once you get under that number.. for some reason it just really feels do-able. At least that's how I feel about it!

so I had gotten down to 197 as of friday morning but then DH and I went off on a little mini vacation of sorts this weekend to a nearby casino to see the black crowes ... DH's favorite band. :hippie: We got a room in the casino and ate at the delicious restaurants and wow.. I gained a little weight and I'm back up to 198.6 this morning.... but honestly, it was worth it! Haha. The food was delicious and I'm not going to beat myself up about it. As I told DH, if I had to live a life where I could never eat ice cream again.. well, just shoot me now.

So.. my mini goal is to get down to 196 by the end of this week... and I have to be good and not splurge between now and May 14th if I want to reach my other goal of 190 by the time I go to texas.

Good news though.. I went shopping for a shirt last friday and I could see a difference in my upper body and just all over! It feels sooo good to shop and be able to get smaller sizes and look better in clothing! I've been chubby/fat all my life and it was torture every year going school shopping. I never could wear the cute/fashionable clothing I wanted to.. and by next year.. I will be able to! woohoo!:banana:

Still afraid to look at the scale 'cause I'm pretty sure it went in the wrong direction. Every time I get close I sabotage myself. If I figured out why that was, I think I would weigh 150! :rolleyes1 :confused3

Trying to get a handle on things, I hope everyone else is doing well!

Tara, you and Kat! are inspiring me to make my exercise back into a habit and not an occasional workout.

Luna, Glad you had a good time at the concert. I have to work ice cream into my plan as well. When I was doing WW I always left enough points so on Fri or Sat I could have an ice cream cone. A McDonalds' ice cream cone is only 3 points. In a pinch it hits the spot!

Maria, sorry you are struggling. I find myself a little confused about what to do with my eating this week. Should I count calories, should I try South Beach/restricting carbs. I'm coming back from being away and I need to change something up since the calorie counting I was doing for the 3 weeks prior to vaca didn't do anything.

Otherwise, I've been good. Last week I was away at my sister's house and we walked everyday. She walks faster than me, she is a runner, so I was really moving! We did 19 miles last week! So that is awesome for me. WE walked all five days I was there. Woo- HOO!!!

So now if the sun would just come out here! Not until Weds. But It's always an adjustment coming back from being away. And after spending two days driving over the weekend I needed to vegetate today so I did. But tomorrow Game on!!!

Hello!

Is anybody out there?! Still plugging away. I'm doing better with eating only what I plan for the day, which is fine since I generally don't plan junk!

I walked over 4 miles Saturday and Sunday. Today I'll be on the stationary bike for 10 miles or so -- or I might just take a nap. Work is really zapping me today!

I was 166 in my Friday official weigh-in. Only 7 more to go and I will actually BE in the 150s!! I don't see this happening this month, though, since I have a WDW trip scheduled from May 17-24.

I made my April exercise challenge goal of 1500, which is another yay. And work is killing me, which leads to the too-digusted-and-busy-to-eat diet, which last week amounted to 4 lbs lost! :laughing: This week isn't shaping up to be much better, sigh.

you and me both maria! I had gotten down to 194 last week but somehow slipped back up to 197 as of this morning! eesh! I refuse to allow myself to get back over 200 again though!

Kat, just curious, how tall are you? man, I cannot WAIT until I'm down in the 160's! Btw, have a great WDW trip! I know when I go to WDW I allow myself to eat whatever I want and as much as I want.. I figure all that walking kinda balances everything out! Plus.. everyone knows food at WDW is calorie free! ;) Have a great time!

I'm trying to eat healthy by having cottage cheese/eggs/wasa bread/and fruit in the mornings and frozen lean cuisine for lunch... and will not be eating after 7 pm anymore.. which is sorta hard because DH gets home from work around 5:30 and we usually work out between 6:30 and 7:00 pm.... when we get home I want to snack while I watch tv... maybe I'll start knitting a blanket or something just to keep my hands busy in the evening while watching tv. lol.

I am 5'8". My goal is about 145-150. Right now I am a size 12 for most clothes, some 10s zip but no way I would wear it outside! I would like to be an 8/10.
 
Good News!

I need to order pants one size smaller today. It's not the size I've been hoping for, but it is smaller -- and that is with pre-TOM bogging me down. My winter weight pants are so baggy in the front, it's not pretty.

Part of me wants to wait for the next smaller size, but if I do that these will be falling off of me. I know I'd feel better about myself if I just bought a few pairs of pants that actually fit. I think that's the boost I need to get myself really going again.

Still working on that under 200 goal, this week's weigh in I know I'm carrying a few lbs of water, so I won't know how I'm really doing until TOM moves along....but I know the next week or so is going to be hard as I get depressed, thinking my efforts are in vain. I know they're not, but I guess my hormones go on a little rampage...sigh. This too shall pass (oops, pun not intended! ;) )

Kat -- I can't even fathom being a size in the single digits. I dream of it, but you are getting there! I am so proud of you! :goodvibes

Luna -- I have the exact same problem -- when I get home all I want to do is watch tv and eat! I have been changing to workout the minute I come in the door, and that seems to help. I definitely need to distract myself. ;)

Jennie -- So what have you decided to do to change things up a bit? I hope you are enjoying the sunshine, I think we definitely deserve it! :upsidedow

Tara -- Are you hangin' in there? How are the horses? :dogdance:

Maria, I don't know what your "next size down" is, but if you or anyone here is in search of some nice 16s, I may have some to send. Most would be either dress pants or shorts, and would be on the long side (my inseam is about 33" and I favor heels). Just let me know.

I have 14s to get rid of too but I am afraid to do so until after this May WDW trip. :laughing:
 
Hi Guys!

I seem to have run amok again. I think things will settle down after Mother's Day. Today is our 15th wedding anniversary:love: , so most bets are off on the eating front. I will keep some mild restraint.

I had a church meeting after work yesterday, and with a Celtics playoff game tonight, I won't be getting my workout in. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. TOM is coming, and I'm retaining enough water to float the Titanic. :boat:

On the bright side, there's nothing to stop me from doing great next week -- no meetings or special occasions, and I already planned to take a walk w/another mom while our sons are in gymnastics, so that will be positive. :cool1:

Kat -- Wow, what a generous offer! I am looking at 16s, but unfortunately I am vertically challenged. My inseam is 30" on a good day! I'm sure you will find a good home for the clothing you are ready to release. Before you know it, you will only have much smaller sizes in your closet! :woohoo:

Congratulations! That is great that you have 7 more to get to the 150s! In 6 lbs. I will be in the 160s, and I cant wait! Am at a plateau now,even though i went to the gym 5 times last week! Just have to start drinking more water this week. Have been really careful about what I have been eating but that might change a little when I head to WDW next. We are also going the same time as you, will be there May 19-23!

I don't know what I weighed the last time I wrote in here but this morning I was 194.2. I think I've been about the same lately. DH and I have been skipping the gym and we ordered a large pizza the other day and the two of us ate the entire thing in one night! OMG! :scared1: terrible, I know!

BUT... we are going on vacation tomorrow to Texas to see my family for a week ... and we have promised ourselves that we will work out while we are there, even if it's just going walking or jogging around the neighborhood. Ideally though we are going to see if a local gym will give us a weeks membership for a small price.

while we are in texas though, my mom is going to make a lot of yummy mexican food so I'll be happy if when we get back I have maintained my weight... but I told DH that once we return I am back to kicking it into full gear and no more slacking off!!!! I'm kinda excited about getting back into the swing of it...

btw, If any of you like the singer Pink... I read an article on her the other day that was really inspirational. She was talking about how she was mostly a vegetarian but did eat fish and would only allow herself cheese once in a while... then when asked about her workout she said when she is on tour she almost gets addicted to working out and just loves feeling "sweaty and like an animal". That got me thinking.. wow, if only I could change my mindset and think of working out on those terms. Instead of thinking "eww, I'm sweaty and gross"... I should start thinking "my body is strong and hot and I'm an animal!!! RAWR!!! :stitch2: so the next time I hit the gym I'm going to try to use that as a mantra and see how it goes!

I hope everyone is looking forward to a safe and fun long holiday weekend!

I'll be weighing in tomorrow, checking the progress on my goal of 5 lbs. before my birthday in a few weeks. I am hopeful, but of course I had some eating setbacks, so we shall see. Wearing the new pants, and I will like them better after another 1 or 2 lost, so that's a good incentive!

Luna -- How was your vacation? Did you come back with a twang in your voice? I always do when I visit my relatives in Southeast Missouri. :rolleyes1 How is WDW these days?!

Hi Maria!!

I just got back from WDW last night, and have about 6 lbs of damage to undo. Less than the last time, at least!! I am hoping to be in the 150s by the end of July. That is about 13 lbs away, now, so I think that it is at least possible.

I promise to be around more. May was pretty crazy for me at work, but that actually helped the weight loss (too busy to eat!). Hope everyone is well!
 
Oh, wow, you all really were/are in WDW! I am very jealous!

Ok, so I'm going to get back to counting the WW Points. I keep saying I'll start tomorrow...I don't know why I'm having such a hard time getting started?

On the bright side, 5.2 miles outside Saturday, and 5.8 on the TM yesterday. I am getting my exercise in!

Maria, restart with me!! I started back to the 1200 calorie thing yesterday. Managed to put on another 2 lbs over the weekend, but they were gone this AM, so I am not counting them. ;)

So far yesterday I only ate about 600 cals (got too busy to eat), and played 1.25 hours of ice hockey. Today I did 45 min on the elliptical and 100 crunches, and have had a salad, a turkey pita wrap, some strawberries, and a 2% activia cottage cheese (total cals: 350).

I want to see a '6' in my number again...
