150 Club....Care to join??? Continued.

Maria!!! You go girl!

I finished up with about 6 oz tilapia (150) w/ some frozen spinach (25?) and seasoning, baked, and about a cup of broccoli/cauliflower nuked (25?), and a cup of sugar free cinnamon rice pudding (60).

So I am likely at about 600 for the day. I know this is too low but I wanted a day or two of really low to jumpstart my system. I will go back to my regular scheduled 1200 likely tomorrow.

What's your workout routine look like for the week? I am going to do an hour or so at the gym tomorrow, then 2 hours of hockey on Thurs night. Not sure what the weekend will hold, will depend on how sore I am. I may take Fri off and do the gym on Sat/Sun.

I have a "wellness" appt on Monday morning at work and I want to take off as much as I can before then...

I just had scrambled eggs and a banana for breakfast. I need a big one, I have an eye appt. this morning and a meeting at 1, so lunch is going to be haphazard.

I did 5.8 mi on the TM Monday, I'm going to bike for 40 minutes tonight, and then do 6 miles on the TM Friday. Thursday is impossible because I have a church meeting at 6:30. I have a school event for ds Friday night, so I'm not sure what Saturday will bring -- either a long walk more for fun than speed, or another bike ride.

I need to get back to working out every day. Once all the end of school stuff is over June 13th, that should be alot easier!

Maria

My plan for today is to eat a cottage cheese (90) in a bit here... I had coffee on the way into work. I don't get up until close to 9 and slog into work close to 10, so I usually eat "breakfast" at 11 or so, go to the gym at lunch, and eat lunch at about 2 or so.

Lunch will be a turkey pita (ff turkey, laughing cow cheese, and a flaxseed wheat pita) and a salad w/ Kraft Light Three Cheese Ranch (my fav!!). I love those pitas, they are only 60 cals, and have 4 g fiber. Dinner I think will be pork chops and something, probably some sort of veggie.

I was 171 this morning, so that is now back to only 5 lbs up from WDW. :) I usually shed about half the weight I put on, in the first week. I think maybe it is just bloat?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good MOrning Everyone. I would like to come back to the 150 Club. I have been with the Biggest Losers since Jan but that has faded out and I need help from you guys to keep on track.

Maria Hi I am in the same position as you. I first want to get under 200. I would be a lot better if my foot didn't hurt when I wake up in the morning. I have a call in to my podiatrist to see if he could take me this week. It feels like more bone spurs (I've had two sets already)

This may not be a great time in my life to try to lose weight but we can catch up later

Dona!!!! -- How great to hear from you! Welcome back! I have been afraid to step on a scale, but a co-worker asked me today if I've been losing weight, so I'm taking that as a postive sign...:thumbsup2

Kat -- How's the diet going? I have decided to try to limit my sugar a bit more. I'm not ready to go cold turkey, but I could definitely take in less...::yes::

Robin -- Welcome to the 150s Club! :cool1: I just have my knowledge from doing WW before, and I'm also doing it online. I type what I'm eating into a screen and it figures out points and allowances for me. On the old system, at 175 lbs you would get 22 pts a day. I'm not sure what it would be with the new one, since it takes into account age and height. I was once told by a WW leader that the general rule of thumb is 60 cal = 1 pt., but of course that varies. I recommend looking into online or local membership, if you've never done it before. I am an old veteran -- but I can't list every food and it's value for you! :confused3

Ok, so I'm working out well -- I jogged 6 miles yesterday, and I've been hitting my workouts most days of the week. My eating is slowly but surely getting better. My new pants are just a hair tighter than I would like, I'm looking on that as motivation to get moving! I won't make 5 lbs by my birthday, but I will make it! :woohoo:

What' going on with everyone else? :goodvibes
Maria

Hmmm. I don't know why yesterday's post doesn't seem to be showing on the main thread...

Anyway, I rode 8 miles on the bike yesterday, and I'm due for 4 miles walking today.

Still trying to wean myself off of so much sugar. It's hard because it's in everything!

Maria

Good job Maria!!

I am back to 3 lbs from my pre-WDW weight, weighed in around 169 today. My exercise last week was: Monday, 1.25 hours ice hockey. Tues, 35 min on elliptical and 100 crunches. Wed, 40 min on arc trainer and ab weight machine. Thurs, nothing. Fri, 40 min on arc trainer and 100 crunches. Sat, mowed the lawn. Sun, 30 min on arc trainer and ab weights.

So far this week, yesterday was 1.25 hours of ice hockey. I am hoping to hit the gym this evening but work has me offsite so I am not sure yet.

I have also done great with eating, haven't gone over 1200 since Sunday May 25 (and have lost 4-7 lbs since then, depending on which weight I use, but that was likely bloat/salt weight from my week of bad eating so I am discounting it).

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Hi girls how are you all? sorry I've been away for a bit a lot has gone on is a short time. I hope you are all doing well. I am now 19 lbs away from:dance3: 150:dance3: ! I started alli a week ago to help me out a little. I have been a bit down since my dh was deployed and have been wanting to do nothing but eat so I have to have a backup plan. I am now running 1.5 miles a day and doing another 1.5 on the bike. I must say the bike is easer!! lol ne way I hope your all well and I 'll be back soon with an update!

Good Morning, Ladies!

I'm off to a good start today with shredded wheat for breakfast and an apple for my morning snack. I had a rough day yesterday. TOM hit, and I just felt lousy. I skipped my workout. I'm hoping to do one tonight, since tomorrow will probably be a bust. DH is running in a 5-mile race with his dsb, which mean we'll have company and I'm not getting my workout. I get to entertain dsb's wife while they do the race --which is fine, she is very nice and we get along well, we even cruised to Bermuda together. But, it means no workout for me.

Kat-- You are doing a fantastic job with your eating, and exercise, too!

Tinker Girl -- Good to hear from you. The exercise will help keep your spirits up while dh is away. I think I remember you have 3 cherubs. Have you been able to get them moving so you can do get a little exercise as a family? I know that is something I'm trying to get going for us -- my dh doesn't want to move unless he is running, and my ds doesn't want to leave the couch or computer. Sigh. It's a challenge, but I don't want ds to find himself overweight one day because I never made him move!

Ok, everyone have a great weekend. It's going to be 90 for us, so we'll be setting up the pool!

Maria

Good MOnday Morning It is already in the 80's and it is only 7:10. Fire Drill at 7L:45 so that they can get it in before it gets too hot. It was so hot here in jersey on Sat that it was even too hot to kayak on a lazy river. We went camping on Sat and SUn and kayaking on Sat. It did cool down during the night so it wasn't too bad sleeping.

Maria how are you doing in the heat. MAria I know you are Ma and it is just as hot up there as it down here. A lot of schools that don't have air conditioning are closing early today.

Kat Congrats on getting closer to goal. I wish I was. The last couple of months have been stressful (A good stress) but stress none the less. When school ends then I am going to get serious again with exercise and food.

Tinker girl I am jsut coming back from being away for a long time so it is nice to meet you. Your husband has one of the hardest jobs and I thank him for doing it. It must be tough on you with him being away for so long. Keep up the hard work.

HAve to go. If I get a chance I will post about all the things that are going on my life later.

It was 91 here when I got out of the car at work, at 9:45AM. Supposed to be up over 100 again today.

Thanks Dona!

I am sooooo unmotivated to be at work today.

Hope everyone has a great week!

My last full week at school. When I looked at my calendar last week I had something going on every night this week except Friday.

The stressors in my life are all good ones for the most part but anyone who has taken those stress tests know that even if they are good they are still stressors that you need to take into account.

May 10th ds1 graduated from college   Took him 5 years and a lot of crying when we told him he couldn't go back after freshman year because his grades were so bad, a lot of happiness when he got his AA from the local community college and now he is finished with some very impressive grades including the last semester which was a 4.0

Downside he moved back with all his clothes and stuff and it is still in my front hall and living room

Downside he also got a puppy which we have not been helping him take care and are falling in love with.

Ds2 graduates from high school next week. I have cried over the last band concert and the senior awards night. I even got a little teary eyed about this being the last week I will be fixing him his pb&j

I have a good friend who is retiring and her party is next week. I really don't want to see her go because it means we have someone who will listen to us over at administration but she does deserve it and I am very happy for her but at the same time I am losing a very good friend.

I have a great deal to do in the next two weeks with finals, grades due, classroom to be cleaned out and two graduations (my school at 2 and ds2 at 6) and then off to orientation for ds2.

Once that is done it will be fine but then I have to finish the rest of the arrangements for our DW trip. In 9 weeks I will be on a plane to Ft Lauderdale to spend a few days with dh in the Fl keys. Then off to Orlando to a night by ourselves in AKL (thanks dsis) then 7 days at POP including doing a segway tour with our sons and my sister and her family. It should be a fun trip. As soon as we get home it will be time to send ds2 off to school. I am going to miss him a lot we have done alot of things together these past few years and it will be strange not to have him home:sad1: :sad1:

Have to go Have a great day everyone. Thanks for letting me talk

Thanks so much for the warm welcome and the info! I am so proud, either my scale is off or I did it but I am 171! I weighed my self on this last Friday and on Sunday and it was the same! Let's hope the scale hasn't broken and I lost the 9 pounds.

As for my workout routine, I go to the Rec Center to swim three times a week and stay for 2 and a half hours. I plan on getting up at 6 to go running for and hour but you know I am a teenager and need my sleep since it is summer! I am glad that I got to 171 by my 16th birthday on Thurs! I am going to Eliches and I wanted to do the water park!

Hi Ladies!

I would say Happy Fathers' Day, but....well, you know!

Just a quick update. Still working on getting my eating and workouts in synch. I just switched to working out more often for shorter distance (no more 6+ mile wogs), which I'm hoping will result in greater weight loss.

Time will tell!

Great to get the update from Dona! You have so much going on, I'm surprised you can think straight!

And Happy Birthday, Robin! It's great that you are so young and you are already working on being healthy!

Everyone have a great day!
Maria

Hey!

Where is everybody?! :confused3

I know, you're all out taking in the sunshine and working those muscles! :thumbsup2

I've wogged either 4 or 2 miles every day since last Saturday. I feel great! I've also been eating better. I'm down 2.2 lbs since Monday, we'll see how I do after a weekend :rolleyes1

Saturday is the first day of Summer -- celebrate with some luscious fresh fruit! Mmmm. Strawberries! :lovestruc

Good Morning, Fellow Weight Loss Fanatics!

Friday night dh surprised me with a birthday dinner (a surprise since my birthday was June 8th!), it was a dinner cruise on the Starship Yacht! Very luxurious, and the food was incredible. I ate what I wanted, actually I ate way too much...I had done my 4 miles that morning, so I wasn't feeling too guilty. I worked out for the last 8 days in a row, and I earned a 2 lb loss! I've been doing much better with my eating, too, actually counting my points. I'm still working on that under 200 thing, every time I get close, I don't make it happen. This time I'm determined!

How is everyone else doing? Any fun plans for the 4th of July?

Onward and Downward!
Maria

Well I think it's time for me to take the plunge and join this thread again! I used to post on this thread many years ago and managed to get under 150lb (my at my lowest I was 130lb). But due to a very stressfull past few years I have managed to gain it all back, plus more! I am definately a comfort eater so when I am stressed I snack. Having had an awful lot of stress to deal with over the last 2 years I have over eaten a lot, something right now I am quite dicussed at myself for doing. I'm not sure of my current weight, at a guess around the 215lb mark (I'll weigh myself tomorrow when I start properly.) We are due to go on holiday to America in 7 weeks time (I live in England) and would like to loose 15-20lb before we leave. We love rollercoasters and are visiting Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain so we can ride as many new coasters as possible. Right now I am seriously worried I won't fit as the info for the rides say you have to have a waist measurement of under 46in, with clothes on I just measured myself and I am 45in at the widest point around my tummy. Hopefully a 15-20lb loss will reduce my waist by a few inches so I should be OK.
So I am going to follow weight watchers points as I have done this before and know it works. Plus I have joined a gym so will go there every day to do CV and then do weights every other day.
So here we go again, hopefully I can stick to this and get down the the 125lb that I have decided is my target weight.
Wish me luck,
Karen

Hi Karen!

Welcome Back to the Club! Lots of member turnover in the last few years, but we're still going strong!

I have taken way too long to get to the 150s, life and my lack of fortitude keep getting in the way, but since I can't give up, I can only keep trying and learn from my mistakes!

I wish you the best of luck in meeting your goals before your holiday! We are not doing a big trip this year, and I think that's messing with my motivation a bit. My dh and I ran (ok, I walked mostly) the Disney Half Marathon last January, and we are signed up again. I want to be much faster than last year, and I need to drop some lbs so I can do that! ::yes::

I also follow WW, but I'm terrible about actually writing down my points. I know we can do this together! :thumbsup2

Maria :surfweb:

Hi Karen!!! Welcome back. I am sure you can do it!

Maria, one-derland is just around the corner!

I was 163.8 on Friday weigh-in, so sooo close to actually making it into the 150s. I am hoping for July 4 since TOM is about to hit, no loss expected this week!

I am a calorie-counter that tracks everything through sparkpeople. Too cheap for WW! :)

Thanks for the welcome back guys,
So I took the plunge and weighed myself this morning, I was 213lbs so my guess was OK. I have done well so far today, although it is only day 1!! Although I am following weight watchers I am doing it at home as I don't have time to attend meetings. I've done it enough times before though to know the routine!!
Oh well, time to go to the gym I think.
