150 Club....Care to join??? Continued.

Good afternoon!

How is everyone? Still plugging along towards the 150s? Any great ideas for dessert on the 4th? I usually make something with red and blue jello and cool whip, but maybe this year I'll branch out!

Maria

Anything with berries sounds good to me!! Berries and cool whip (light of course)... maybe a parfait?

I am still plugging away. This morning I was 161.4. SOOO close to the 150s I can taste it! I am going away for the 4th though, so it will probably be a few more weeks before I reach the 150s. I am only about 11 lbs from goal, though!

Btw, if you want to see before/after pics, look here. First pic was 218 and in Feb '07, last pic was last weekend and ~163. I am 5'8".

I was on the old thread, but I never kept up with it or trying to loose the weight I need to. But new beginnings. I am "supposed" to be about 140 or lower, but if I make it to 150 I will have arrived! right now Im in the 190's and only5'2" so BMI is really bad. Iwill be visiting the forum often! Grammy

I am still plodding along toward 150 pounds. I have gained some weight from my lowest and I need to get the scale going downward again.

Hope all of you are well.

Grammy and Becky, good to see you!!

Maria, where are you??

I was 160.2 yesterday... SOOOO close to actually BEING in the 150s club. My BMI is finally normal, at 24.4.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I'm still here!

July is turning into a very busy month at work, which is seriously cutting into my Dis time! I also have family visiting, so my home time isn't happening, either. Not to mention workouts, eating right....I'm just a big mess and 150s seem like a fantasy. I have vowed as soon as everyone leaves later this month I am going to tackle weight loss with a veangance!

Grammy, Becky, Karen, Dana, Kat -- I hope you are doing great and whittling away to the 150s!

Maria :cheer2:

Finished week one! Weight loss is about 3.5 lbs. Not bad.Week one is very easy in one respect because of the excitment of getting going again. Week two is like "just need to keep going" and repeat what I did in week one. Its the long haul ahead. Grammy

I weighed in this morning. 1.8 lbs loss... which puts me... AT 159.6!!! . I AM IN THE 150s!!!!

I leave 2 weeks from today for our trip to FL. Dh and I will spend MOn to Thursday morning in the Keys and then up to DW for a night in AKL (thanks dsis and dbil for the anniversary present) and then for 6 nights at POP. The highlight of the trip is the segway tour 10 of us are taking (my dsis and her family and my ds's gf are joining us.).

I have been eating pretty healthy for 90% of the day and then every now and then I go off. If I could get the swelling down in my ankle and the pain to go away at night I would be a much happier camper. MY left foot is forming a bunion and causing tendinitis of the ankle. I can walk but by the end of the day it is pretty sore. I have heavy duty pain pills for FL so that I can make the 11 days we will be gone.

The saddest part of the trip will be coming home and taking ds2 to college the Monday after we get back. I am missing him already.

Right now I am just working out when I feel like it and trying to eat right. Dh leaves for camp on Friday so I have over a full week to really watch what I eat before I leave for Fl.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi Dona!

That sounds like a fantastic trip, but I understand why you are sad about the end. I can't even imagine sending my baby to college. Of course he's only 10, but I get it!

The last few days I have been struggling with being dizzy. I have a dull ache in my ear, and it's like I'm moving at an incrementally different speed than everything around me. I'd like to think it's getting better, but I guess I don't really have any proof. If I'm not better in a week I guess I'll have to grit my teeth and see my NP. I do not like seeking medical attention...

Anyway, that's kept me off the TM. I am still planning to do the Disney Half again in January, but I need to start eating and working out like that's in my future. I'm a little discouraged these days, so that's not helping. I feel like I need a new motivational tool -- I'm extremely open to ideas!

Maria

Hello, everyone! This is official my third post on the disboard so I hope that I am doing everything correctly. A college friend of mine got me started and I am having a lot of fun reading the threads.

I was on WW about three years ago and lost 75 pounds. At my lowest I was 150.4 but in the years since I have managed to gain back 45 pounds. The thought of that makes me ill. Every day I "start" over. I am glad to have found this thread for encouragement and ideas.

Welcome to this thread. I have been on and off this thread for the last few years. WE have been pretty quiet recently but I think once the summer ends it will get busy again.

Happy Afternoon, Ladies!

Rhonda -- :welcome: to our humble thread! Like Dona, said, things have been quiet but I expect them to heat up when people get back from all their vacations!

Dona -- Are you all packed for your trip yet? I think I would be too excited to sleep!

We are doing a "staycation" this year -- dh and I will do the Half Marathon in January, but other than that we aren't going anywhere. We did alot of work in our yard, redid the master bathroom(yea tub enclosure, no more yucky tile!), and now we're redoing ds10's room. He decided he's too old for a character room (:stitch:), so now we're making everything (except the carpet) green. DH painted the wall and his head and footboards, as well as the radiator cover. He has new bed linens, and a "college" reading chair. I also still want to get him a lamp and some decorative items for the walls. Once I get his room done, I'm probably going to pick one more to get finished before school starts. :thumbsup2

Oh, you want to know about my getting healthy efforts :guilty: -- well, I'm no longer dizzy, so today I'm getting on the TM when I get home. And I seem to be having a vegetarian day. I hadn't thought about it, but I had a hummus veggie wrap for lunch, and we're having bean burritos for dinner, so I guess I'm shaking things up a bit that way. I need to start counting WW points again -- I keep meaning to, but somehow I just don't enter it on the computer....anyway, I have been totally stressed and busy at work. After Aug. 15th, I am officially out of excuses, and I will devote myself to getting into good enough shape to finish the Half again! :woohoo:

Maria

We leave in 11 Hours

3 days at Fl Keys, 1 night at AKL and 6 nights at POP.

See you when we get back

Yea, Dona!

I hope you have a fantastic trip! :woohoo:

I am happy to report my new schedule of two shorter daily workouts is going great. I haven't missed one yet. I wog 2 miles in the morning, and then I either do weights or the exercise bike in the afternoon. I lost 8 lbs the first week  (but 4-5 of that was TOM). Still, I'm pleased that I seem to have a new system that should yield good results. Still working on the eating, but that's improving as well. I'm too tired to just sit and chow, now I have to go to bed early so I can get up at 5:30 and get my TM time in! :rotfl2:

I am really enjoying the morning workouts, and on the weekends I've been wogging outside by the ocean. The 150s are a long way away, but I do feel like I am moving in the right direciton!

Maria :cheer2:

:welcome: shane&jakesmom!

We are pretty quiet this summer, but things should pick up as we get back to our computers and focused on dropping pounds!

Since I'm the only one around (hey, where are you guys?!) I'll tell you a little about me...

My name is Maria and I just turned 40. I am tipping the scales at over 200, but with effort I know I can get to the 150s!

I am the mother of ds10 :stitch: , and I've been married for 15 years  . I work full-time as a grants professional for a large homeless services agency, so I spend a ton of time seated. :guilty:

This year dh and I completed the Disney Half Marathon in January, and we are planning to do it again! I follow WW Online, well, at least I pay them every month :lmao:

I am originally a midwesterner, but have been in Boston for 12 years. I have been around since the original 150s club thread, and I am ready to apply myself and get there!

Maria :woohoo:
