Re: the one given by WDW, can we use that to include the tax & tip, or is it just for the food & drink part of the check?

DH & I don't really care for PH so we thought we would just split an app (about $10) & use the balance for the tax & tip & be on our way. Nice snack when we don't want a full meal.

With so many other places at DTD I wouldn't bother going to one I know I don't like just to use the coupon.

sissy, we often don't go to the parks & when we do, we only spend a couple of hours there, so, we have lots of leisure time while at Disney. We mostly go just to enjoy the nice weather away from the cold Indiana days. We wouldn't go to PH for an OOP or free meal, because we've tried about 3 dishes there & haven't liked any of them. But we spend a lot of time in DTD, walking around, going to the movies, dining, browsing, sitting on the benches, etc. So while there, we might as well enjoy splitting a free app or dessert at PH - why not. We had a yummy free ice cream dessert there last year that was big enough to split. I just couldn't recall whether the tax & tip could be included with the $15 coupon; now I know.

Everyone seems to have PH. I have eaten at probably 5 PH locations and have never had anything I didn't like except the chicken crisper things. I've eaten at the one in Orlando at least 4 times and always enjoyed the food. My wife hates it too and I don't get it. I'm kinda bummed we aren't doing a package this time because I could go and eat there by myself for $15. Alas, no coupon.

feezle, what food do you like at PH? I think so often people dislike a restaurant because of what food was ordered. DH & I have disliked places & then returned with friends/family, ordered something different & loved it!

First time at PH, about 10 years ago, we ordered a cheeseburger & french fries. The cheeseburger was like the ones you get in the grocery store freezer section - flat, small, dry, & tasteless!

Second time, last fall because we had a $15 coupon, we ordered the Chicken Fajitas to split. It was terrible. Wasn't fajitas like in a Mexican place. Nothing to moisten the dish - no salsa, no sauce, no juice - nada! We asked for salsa & we were advised PH doesn't have any! The chicken was dry. We didn't eat it & asked for our check (to pay the tax & tip). The manger just roamed by & asked how we liked our meal. We told him the truth. He also said, PH = no salsa! He gave us a free dessert - whoopee I told him he needs to send a runner to the grocery store & stock some salsa!

Don't remember the other time we were there, long ago.

Anyway, we'll use our $15 coupon this fall & try again. Why not spend the $15 while we are wandering around DDT. Why not - it's free & we won't have any appointments to keep! Don't have to eat what we don't like!
