Just got back from the world 2 days ago (:( so sad we had to leave & come home). I had my lime green ribbons on my fanny pack & pool bag. We were there for 15 days & I didn't spot one other lime green ribbon. Where were all the DISers!

My whole family was looking out for them but we never did see one. Oh well, the ribbons are still attached to the bags for the next trip. Maybe I'll see some when we go in November. :)

Oh dear - I guess we won't be trying Hollywood & Vine anytime soon.

We were in the world 5-13 April. I had my green ribbons on the handle of DS buggy, made it really easy to find! We did'nt see any other ribbons either. Had a brilliant time though.

I just went to Home Depot (on Transit Road) and "stole" 5 Alien Green Mickey Heads from their Paint Department! I think they will make nice Luggage Tags and also to hang off the stroller!

So... I WILL BE MARKED!

We are going in May and I must have missed the post talking about this. Can you tell me what's going on?

Thanks

Melsmice,
We were there during some of your trip, forgot all about Green ribbons until 2/3rds through, DD was sick first few days may be why I didn't think of it. Seems I will probably overlap some of your November trip to so maybe I'll catch you then.

We've spotted lime green ribbons and we've been spotted a few different times. We've also attended a DIS meet at the Boardwalk where everyone had on lime green ribbons. However, I noticed that many folks had very small ribbons, some tied them to fanny packs other wore them...either in their hair or as a pin. None of them had been spotted during their trip. Others, had VERY noticeable lime green ribbons. All of the ones I spotted on others, were attached to the BACK of a belt or waist pouch while working our way thru a line. The best way to be notice is to wear noticeable ribbon, some on the front, some on the back...and if you're pushing a stroller or a wheelchair, tie some on those too!

Wearing a noticable lime green ribbon identifies you as a DISer to other DISer's. An add on to this is getting a Disney paint sample from Home Depot in the Alien Green shade. Paint samples are in the shape of Mickey's head.

MELSMICE- it wasn't anything I ate at Hollywood & Vine. In fact my DH said the food was excellent. I think it was the water fountain I used to refill our water bottles. DH,DS & I all got sick. DGD didn't drink the water. She never got sick.

We wore our ribbons last yeard and only one CM noticed them. This year I jave my Lime Green Mickey head and it has my username on it. Maybe this will help.

Philaround,
Thanks so much for responding. I think I will run down to Home Depot and get some.

Just arrived back: had my ribbon (until it got too frayed, and I took it off) on my bag, but didn't see anyone else with one. But, having thought about it, I'm not surprised. Sorry to be a bit logical about this, but there are how many DIS-ers? 40,000? How many of those are at WDW at any one time? How many visitors can MK, AK, MGM, Epcot, BB, TL, accommodate on any given day - how many hundreds of thousands, as well as though at Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk, in their hotels as well? I guess the lime ribbons are pretty well diluted amongst all these. But to all those wearing their ribbons - good on you!:jester:
