15 days, lets go NOW!

Can it really only be 15 days? This trip has been in the works for over 18 months, and now its down to just 15 days. I am so excited! I am also convinced I am going to leave something important behind. I have lists, my lists have lists. I have this really neat one note document that I can pull up on the computer/tablet/ my phone/DH phone with all our reservation numbers, ticket confirmation numbers, and FP+'s and our driving directions. I am super organized, and I just know I am driving my family crazy!

So, the trip is with me, and my family. DH, DD 12 and DD 10. Our last trip as a family was 2 1/2 years ago for 5 days at OKW, and DH and I took a last minute, no planning trip in May for 3 days at POP. This trip we are staying at POFQ for the first time. We wanted something with slightly bigger rooms than POP, and smaller resort size. I think POFQ looks great.

Our trip is going to be for 10 days. WooHoo!

We are driving from Dallas, planning to stay one night in Mississippi so that the drive isn't so terrible.



We didn't get free dining, but we got a bounceback that is saving us money, so that works. We have ADR's for Whispering Canyon, Garden Grill, Beirgarten, T-rex, Chef Mickey's (breakfast), and BOG. We got FP+ for everything we wanted including AnnaElsa M/G, SDMT and Wishes. We are also doing MVMCP for the first time. I'm super excited about that!



I have just hit that nervous/excited/scared something will go wrong stage.



Basically I have gotten to the point that there is nothing left to do but wait. I hate that! I've done the online check in, I've printed off car bingo for the kids, I've got my play list ready for the road trip. I've packed everything once to make sure it will all fit in the luggage we have, and then unpacked it, because DH says that is too early to pack away that much clothes. We've made t-shirts, autograph books, a nice string backpack. Kids have homework stockpiled to work on in the car. I can't think of anything else I need to do right now, and its driving me crazy!



I think the next 10 days might be the hardest. 5 days out I will have stuff I can start doing again. I'm going to bake some breakfast breads to eat in the hotel, and then actual packing, but at this point I have nothing left to do. I'm sitting here listening to the Magic Kingdom entrance loop, wishing for time to move faster!!

16 days for us so I know how you're feeling!! I'm paranoid about one of us getting sick lol. Any sniffle or cough is suspicous! It's also been 2 1/2 years for us so we can't wait to be back. The first time we went in 2011 we drove from Fort Worth, TX and stayed the night in Gulf Shores AL because we had an old friend who lived there that we visited. Hope you have a wonderful trip!!

16 days for us so I know how you're feeling!! I'm paranoid about one of us getting sick lol. Any sniffle or cough is suspicous! It's also been 2 1/2 years for us so we can't wait to be back. 15 days for us too. Going to be there 11. Have some stuff packed since our summer is over here in PA. A friend just got there today, so I'm enjoying her posts and getting more and more excited. We are staying at POP, have ADRs for Chef Mickey arrival day, 1900 PF, Sanaa, Teppan Edo, Coral Reef, Minnie's Holiday Dinner, T-Rex, and a couple others I can remember at the moment.

Luckily for us it's just my husband and I so if one of us has a cold we will hit the medicine hard and push through!

Funny how even though the months seem long waiting on them to pass by it's the last few weeks that seem to take for EVER to pass as you are waiting to leave!

One of my DD's currently has a cold, I'm hoping she will keep it to herself, and get over it quickly. I am just so excited. I think I'm worse that the kids are. For me, the night before we leave is always the worst. I will not sleep. I will just sit in bed vibrating "Tomorrow we leave, tomorrow we leave!" it drives my DH crazy!

We are 14 days out and I can hardly wait!! I feel like I don't have enough time though haha. I am just getting excited again. I had a medical scare that almost resulted in us cancelling, but that's gone now and trip is back on track!!!! Now I have to catch up on laundry and start packing!!

16 days for me. Going to POR. I've got so much to do at work that I don't know when I'll pack. I can't wait to escape reality!

We fly but for a family road trip vacation this summer I got a license plate ap for my phone so the kid could record which states plates they saw.

I am right there with ya! I leave in 9 days, traveling solo and I feel like I am going to forget something. I am staying at POR for 10 days, meeting friends who will be there the same time frame so I won't be solo much except for a few times. I am super excited! But I keep looking at everything I have been packing and making a list of the last minute things I can't forget. I cannot believe I leave a week from Thursday!!!

Eighteen days here! I'm with you all in my excitement, but a little trepidation too also nervous about illness, etc. DH just recovered from a nasty cold that lasted two weeks and I do not want to get it!!
I hope we all get loads of pixie dust and have wonderful trips .
