$149.00 After hours event question

but this is a no crowd event. nobody is in your way for any ride or getting to the next one, even with a casual stroll. we didn't try but I think it's safe to say we could have done everything in the 3 hours... We did excessively stay on a few rides though and that's when you start to run out of time...

Er, bring it on!

Crowds or not, you can't teleport between attractions!

Here are actual ride times for the attractions that are open during the magic hours:

Barnstormer- 1min ride, plus 5min min combined load/unload/queue =6min
Dumbo- 2min ride, plus 2min for unload/load, plus queue = 7min
IaSW- 12min, with load/unload if no boat back up, plus queue
Mad Tea - 2 min+ 2min between boardings+ load/unload time (2min) = 6min
Pooh- 3 min, plus minimum queue/load/unload = 5min
Princesses- 10min spread among 4(?) princesses = very optimistic!
Philarmagic - 10 min, plus average of 5min wait eve when no lines+ 1min queue = 16min
PPan - 4 min +minimum 2min queue/load/unload = 6min
Carrousel - 2min, plus 1min aver wait, plus 2min total load/unload = 5min
7D - 3min, plus 2 min load/unload = VERY optimistic!= 5 min

VotLM - over 6min, plus 3 min time to walk through the cave-like queue/post ride= 9min
HM - 10 min, plus 3min min. wait to enter, plus 2 min shortest FP queue/post ride = 15min
Aladdin - 2 min, plus up to 2 min, plus 2 min load/unload = 6min
Jungle cruise- 10 min, plus wait to load, load and unload (min of 3min) = optimistic= 13min
PotC- 10 min, plus 3min queue, plus 3min load/unload/post ride= 16min
Swiss treehouse - ???
Tiki Room- 9 min, plus minimum average of 4.5min to enter (preshow is 2min) 13.5min

BTMRR - 5 min, plus 4 load/unload/next train, 3 min minimum queue = optimistic= 12min
CBJ- 15 min, plus min. average of 7.5min wait to see show = 22.5 min
Splash - 12 min, plus 2 min load/unload, plus 3min minimum perm queue = 17min
Astro - 2min, plus an absolute 5 min minimum wait (elevator), plus 2 min each load/unload = 9min
Buzz- 4 min, plus permanent queues on enter/exit (3min) = 7min
Space Mtn - 3min for coaster, plus 4min for queue (walking, not playing 90 second games), 1.5 boarding/unloading/walk to post show, plus 1.5 min unload, plus 2min post-show (if you walk thought entire post-show) - verified w/actual ride = minimum 10min
Stitch - 12 min show, plus 6min preshow, plus aver. min wait of 6min between loading= 24 min
Speedway- 4min, plus 3 minimum load/unload/queue, which is a generously low estimate, actual video shows post-ride waiting/unload alone taking over 3minutes on a normal day = 7min

So pure ride/load time for all the open attractions takes over 4hours (247minutes)!

That isn't allowing any time to walk between anything, personal needs, or to eat/drink any of the free ice cream.

Even if the park is completely empty, the permanent ride queues don't disappear. For example, it takes at least a 2 minutes to walk up the BTMRR hill and through the shortest interior queue. It also takes at least 3 minutes to load/unload, and walk back down the hill.

But don't take my word, there are plenty of online videos!

I actually attended one of the events.. I think I only skipped jungle, tiki, stitch, country bears, the characters and in 2 1/2 hours did everything else with multiple rides on a couple of the coasters.

This is also just looking at the 3 hours of the event and not including the 3-4 additional hours pre-day guest closure (depending on night you attend).. I don't disagree with your numbers but it's more than 3 hours with 6-7 depending on the night you go...

You can do the whole park in 1 night with a ticket to this event.. just be smart on your pre-event ride choices and don't stand in any lines.

I was there last week and 7DMT was a walk on not30 minute wait you just barely had to leave the cave and you went in the FP line I did this ride 3 times in 5 minutes

So not sure where you got it was a 30 minute wait

Impossible!

Pure ride length is 3minutes, plus another 47 seconds to load the train (from entering the gates to launch).

But don't take my word, you can watch footage for yourself!

Rumors that many free tickets were handed out for last nights event again.

I was there did it and this is all the proof I need. have you do not he later hour party yet?

So you prioritized, and skipped over an hour's worth of attractions, which is all I originally suggested.

(Earlier I left off the Treehouse. Non-edited videos show the Treehouse taking 6.5-8.5 minutes.)

The attractions that aren't included in the Magic hours also can be quite time consuming:
HoP is 23minutes long (on the half hour)
the Riverboat is 13minutes,
ET with Belle is about 25min,
CoP is about 22min,
Monsters INC is about 10Min + 10min preshow.

For all of the above, it doesn't matter how empty MK is, CM's won't let you enter mid-show.

***

Tom Sawyer Island is variable, but my old guide book suggests an hour.

Wishes is 12 minutes, and the PM parade- start to finish - is about 20minutes.

= about 4 hours of attractions, when you include average waits between shows.

Table service meals take about 90 minutes, if you are seated on time, and all goes well.

The point I'm trying to make is you have more than 3 hours. Your not limited to just the 3 hours during the event and if you come in at 7pm, you can ride things and do it all (minor exceptions like tom sawyer island), including some rides not opened during the event. a bulk of it will happen during the 3 hours.

I don't doubt that the line was minimal. I've seen MK empty enough that I was able to ride a number of attractions back to back without getting off.

What I doubt is that WDW cut the ride duration length in half during the after hours events. It is 3minutes, plus a 45 second load time. If you didn't get off at all, it would still take you 11.5 minutes to ride it three times, and you said you had to exit.

But really, again - all I originally suggested was for the OP to prioritize a list of attractions. I don't care how empty MK is, the CM's aren't going to raft you over to Tom Sawyer during the after hour event!

For 150 bucks Id ask for a serenaded gondola ride on the ponds around the castle.

I think your are the perfect type of Park Visitor for such a ticket. Not sure how big the family etc.... but if you only had one day for 105 full of people vs. 150 for many hours with no lines... it's easy. I am curious if Disney sees a drop in one day park prices due to this.
