Does he have a driver's license? That's all he'll need to clear security!

ETA: If his green card has his picture on it, that should be okay too.

All he needs is a government issued ID, He can even use his passport from his country or drivers licence. I bleive two forms of non picture ID can also be used such as a SS card.

His passport will be fine. It doesn't have to be a US passport, TSA honors foreign passports, too.

I am not a US citizen either, and have never had a problem flying. All they want to see is my driver's licence!

Call and check with the airline.. But They will accept any government (that means any government of any country) issued ID or as an alternative two forms of NON photo ID.

Although they do not want you to know, you can also fly with no ID at all and its pointed out clearly on the TSA website. You simply tell the airline at check in that you are inadvertantly without ID and they will mark your ticket in Red. When going through security he will go through a special line for an extra screening. That's it! I have done it. And I was actually through security faster the day I forgot my ID on my kitchen counter! LOL

So no need to panic. If he has no acceptable ID, the worst case scenario is an extra screening..Its quick and painless. In some cases quicker than the regular line.:thumbsup2
