We've just bought all out theme park tickets (which were the price of a holiday in themselves) and i was wondering if this runs out from the first day of use? If i went to a disney park lets say on a monday and decided to have a day by the pool on tuesday will this be a day lost on my disney ticket. Don't get me wrong we love disney but not sure if i want to go for 14 days one after another... If this is the case they seem a bit of a rip off. We've also got the 7 day universal ticket but they state that it runs out after the first day of use.

yes it is 14 days from the first day of use.....it should state that somewhere (or someone should have told you)....if you look on the disney website where you can buy them from it does tell you at the bottom

to be honest i think its the best value for money than the other tickets and the beauty is your not having to worry about having a full day at a park to make it worth while...last year we often spent half a day in our villa pool but then knew we could go anywhere even two parks just for a couple of hours. a walk around epcot in the evening is lovely...dont forget the water parks they're great..you can just pop in for a few hours. we did the 21 day ultimates last year and this year we have the 14 days ones. you really don't save much money by doing it any other way and you will appreciate the total flexibility.
have a great time.

Divide the price of the ticket by fourteen to see what it costs a day
a single ticket into one of the parks most be $50 - $60 dollar by now

These tickets are great if like us you just want to go and see the fireworks at night after spending a day say shopping ,no way would I use a full day time for that

we will be in disney for 9 days and if we do not get AP's this is the way we will go

Enjoy the planning

Hi!
It depends which tickets you baught.
There are non-expiration ones,so yes-you get exactly 14 days. But when I last looked,it was nearly double the price to upgrade to these anyway.

Enjoy your holiday,
Lynn

Being able to go in and out and not kill yourself doing the marathon days is the best way to see Disney. We did the 1 week trips with full days until we got AP's. We spent a week down there in May, and the first day we went into Epcot and spent 4 hrs. in Innoventions, left for supper, then returned just in time for Illuminations. Being able to take that kind of a pace at least some days is a whole different Disney experience. You don't have to make the most of a day and run yourself to death all for the sake of utilizing that day of hopper. Case in point: An hour after getting to AK, my 12 yr. old got a migraine. I took him to First Aid while the others continued. After an hour it was time to call it quits, and we all left. That 14 day pass will let you relax about stuff like that if it should arise. Even if it cost you more, protecting your sanity and being able to take an easier pace is worth it.

We actually prefer the Magic Your Way tickets, as we do not spend an excessive amount of time at the WDW parks.
Our 10 day tickets have hopper and no expiry, so they should last us 2 more holidays I think, and we have 5 days at the water parks too.
The important thing for us is if we go to say MK in the morning to make sure we return or go to a different park in the evening to make the most of the days ticket.

It just depends on which tickets suit your needs.

With the 14 day Ultimate ticket if I went to MK on my first night in Florida (Saturday) what day would it run out? Would I still be able to go to the parks in the morning on my final Saturday before our flight home or would it have run out on the Friday night?

Sara. :)

It will expire on the friday.

Ooh, what a disappointment but thanks for the reply Johnny.

Am going to have to make a decision now - first night, or last morning?

In our case neither, Josh far too tired for a 1st night and a lazy day on the last morning...if you have the energy I would go the 1st night as going on the last day would be a bit depressing (for us anyway). ;)

Thanks for the advice. :thumbsup2

I think first night would be best. Don't plan on going for long - just don't think I could be that close to MK and not go and see it for the 1st time (not planned to go there til Day 3 of holiday). Luke will probably be OK - he is like the Duracell bunny - he keeps going long after DH and I have collapsed! :teeth:

Sara. :)
