It will be my daughter's 13th birthday while we're in Disney for a week this October (main reason for the trip). We've been before but this is the 1st time it is just the two of us.

Is there anything special you can suggest to make it even memorable (as if being in Disney isn't enough!). Her birthday is on Saturday 28th & there's no MNSSHP that day so was thinking of booking Chef Mickey's. Will I still have a chance of booking that or is it getting a bit late? Is 13 too old - or will it be OK if we eat as late as possible - I know they close 9.30. Thinking of getting a 13th Birthday T-shirt printed & making her wear it - will that get her any treats? (Heard of Birthday pins?)

Any info/suggestions greatly appreciated. :wave2:

try for Chef Mickey's, I went there for my 18th birthday (so no 13 is just great) and it was brilliant! So much fun with the characters and CM's!

Definately call in at Guest Services at MK, AK or Epcot and pick up a birthday pin, I had complete strangers saying happy birthday to me! It was wonderful, and Pinocchio sang happy birthday and we got free ice creams and certificates and all the charactters in the parades really made an effort to come over!

If you really want to do something special then maybe give the Disney florist ot Peggy a call and arrange a birthday basket/arrangement.

Whatever you do I'm sure you will both have an amazing time, and celebrate a very special birthday in a very magical way :thumbsup2

You HAVE to go to guest services at the entrance to the park and get a Birthday badge. I had the whole of Hollywood and Vine sing Happy Birthday to me and I got a little cake, a ballon and a card....and I'm 30 !!!!

Chef Mickey's has had some great reviews (and it's a fab location) and often a late sitting for a Character Breakfast is best, as the resturant is not as buisy and the Characters are not as rushed.

Definitely get her a pin :)

I would think you will be able to get a table at Chef Mickey's still for that night, but give them a ring to check!
