Oh, C.Ann, when it rains, it pours. I know what you mean about how you wouldn't be comfortable leaving them now. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. (Is there anyone else who could help your sister?)

Hang in there.

why can't your sister fly up to visit with you for a while? she won't be alone and you won't have to worry about her as well.
glad your dd's headache is better. sad that they made her wait so darn long for that patch.

sending :grouphug: and prayers. My condoleseces to you and your family.

That is a good idea. That way you won't have to worry about her and maybe just getting away will help her with her grief.

Yes ! Maybe your DSis needs to feel needed......sometimes helping others can pull you out of grief.....

Glad your DD is making progress!!

:tink: :grouphug: :shamrock:

So sorry to hear you are canceling your trip, but with all that is going on I'm sure your heart is very heavy and really want to be here for your DD. You know WDW will always be there for you when things are looking more positive.

Your DD&SIL are very lucky to have you there for support and help out with DGD. Good to hear the worst part of DD's headache is gone and hopefully soon they will come to a diagnoses about her BP, get proper treatment and very soon she'll be on the road to recovery.

It's sad about your sister's set back and will keep her in my prayers. I can sympathize, as I lost my younger brother suddenly 5 yrs ago and some days are worst than others and I really miss him, his smile and caring ways. Maybe re-scheduling your trip will give DS something to look forward too.

Meanwhile be sure to keep your own strength up and take good care C.Ann. Our generation is made from tough stock, but a little TLC goes a long way. Continued positive thoughts and prayers being sent your way for a brighter tomorrow.

Best wishes to MIL on her surgery and I hope SIL stays strong.

I was just going to suggest the same thing. In fact the change in scenery would do her good, and she can help you with things so that may take her mind off of her grief.

So sorry to hear about your daughter. She's certainly been through a lot in the last couple of years. I hope your sister starts feeling better.

Prayers and pixie dust that things work out. You'll get that trip to WDW some day when things are better at home!

Ahhh...C.Ann...so sorry about all that you are so bravely dealing with...

I have some serious bp problems as well. Mine gets so low that I have fainted and collapsed. And the headaches :headache: that go with it are brutal.:guilty:

In 2005 I collapsed/fainted on an Amtrak train from NYC to Boston...we were in CT and they had to stop the entire train (it was so embarassing) and rush me by ambulance to the nearest hospital. My bp was 80/50. I have NO IDEA why this is happening to me at all. They made me stay in the hospital until it was up to 90/60. The headache:headache: that day was absolutely one I will never forget.:sad1:

I have been fine for sometime but am clueless as my MD's have no idea why this happens.

I am wishing that your DD will be home soon:grouphug: and so sad you cannot meet up with your DSis in WDW.:grouphug:

I would fly my sister up here in a heartbeat, but she won't leave her ferrets - her "babies" - and the woman who normally babysits them is having surgery soon and won't be able to take care of them..

The trip to WDW is the least of my concerns - was mainly doing it for my sis..

Now the new "wrinkle" with DD is that the insurance company wants her OUT of the hospital TODAY - low BP or not.. My son-in-law called to appeal the decision and they are standing firm.. So - I'm sitting here waiting to find out if I need to go and get her or if SIL is going to pay $2000+ per day until they can figure out what the problem is.. He wants something in writing from the hospital - that they're releasing her without her BP being stabilized or knowing what the cause is - but of course they're not willing to put anything in writing..

I see another trip to the ER in the not too distant future..

That's terrible! I always want to ask these insurance companies where and when they graduated medical school since they like to practice medicine so much.

I'm so sorry your're having all of these problems! :( I hope things get better for you all soon.

We had to play the insurance game with my MIL. She had to be moved from one hospital to another for the insurance company to continue to cover her. It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. The insurance company would rather pay to have her transported then to keep her in one hospital for her recovery.

I agree with the others that said it might do your sister good to feel needed. Some vets offices will babysit small critters.
