I’ve been on the DDP before but not for this long, and my parents hadn’t been on the DDP at all before so it was a new experience for them.

Coming up, Arrival day and first full day!

Sounds like it was a great lineup, can't wait to hear the reviews.

We had just flown from Manchester UK, to New York, to Orlando. After a delay in New York sitting on the runway for a long time, and then sitting on the Magical Express for half an hour before we moved, it’s safe to say we were absolutely exhausted! I think by this point we had been travelling for 20 hours. So we were definitely in need for food!
We were SO happy to get to Port Orleans Riverside. We’ve stayed here so many times, it’s our favourite resort, it’s just perfect. So after checking in, we headed straight to the food court where I begin my 13 day dining review!
We decided to pay OOP for this meal, and start our DDP the next day.

Dinner – Riverside Mill

My meal – Bacon Double Cheeseburger

My parents had the same meal, Fish Basket.

You guys have NO idea how long I have been craving a Disney burger! There is no burger on earth as good as a Disney burger! It was just as good as I remember. Juicy, moist, delicious. Fries were good as usual. I gave this meal 10/10.

The fish basket was also good. There was no fish at the time, so they cooked the fish in front of us, so it was nice and fresh, and very hot! My parents gave this 8/10.

Now onto Day 2! This was our first full day, and our first day of using the DDP. We were using the Basic DDP, so one snack, one QS, and one TS.

Breakfast – Riverside Mill

Chocolate Croissant – Mine :)

Banana and Yogurt – DM

Mickey Waffle with Strawberries and Bacon – DF

I used my first snack on the Chocolate Croissant. I love these, but I think the ones from Main Street Bakery are better for some reason. I gave this an 8/10. It would’ve been 10/10 but it wasn’t very warm.

DM enjoyed the yogurt pot being upside down – we don’t have those in the UK! And the flavour was very yummy.

DF loved his Mickey Waffle. Overall, a nice start to the day!

Lunch – Cosmic Rays

Our full first day is always at MK. After doing a few rides, we decided we’d have an early lunch. We headed to Cosmic Rays. My parents hadn’t been in here before, so they were pleasantly surprised with the big selection.

My choice was the BBQ Pork Sandwich with Fries.

DF had the Half Chicken and Mashed Potato

DM (who doesn’t eat meat, only fish occasionally) chose the Greek Salad

I gave the BBQ Pork Sandwich a 9/10. I’d had this before at Peco Bills and it was as good as ever. It could’ve been hotter though.
DF and DM both ate all of their meals and enjoyed every bit.

Since we were on the DDP, we had desserts to eat too!

I had the Triple Chocolate Cake, while my parents both had Carrot Cake.

I gave the Triple Chocolate Cake 5/10. I might’ve given it more if I wasn’t so full. My parents both love Carrot Cake and said it was the highlight of the whole meal, however it was a little dry under the icing. 8/10

Also this was our first experience of the CMs seating guests. We thought it was a very good system and liked the way it worked.

Snack – Riverside Mill

DM decided to use one of her snacks in the afternoon. We were back at the resort and had a look to see what was on offer at the food court. She chose:

Apple Slices with Caramel Sauce

The apples were very fresh and crunchy. Caramel was really thick, hard to actually dip the apples in, but still good. A refreshing light snack.

Day 2 Part Two coming up soon...:upsidedow

great start - great pics. looking forward to more.

Count me in! I love your pictures & reviews...I don't know why I like to torture myself by looking at all the yummy food photos here. It looks like you still get good portion sizes at Cosmic Ray's. Last year, I had the turkey bacon wrap and I couldn't believe the size!

Looking forward to your upcoming reviews...you have a good line-up!
