My sister passed away from a very rare genetic disease. I know people say time heals all wounds, but really its not true. I do have alot of faith so that helps alot. It is still not easy. I feel so bad for all the wtc familys around here and what they have to go through all the time at holidays etc. Its also so sad that still they have not found a cure for the disease my sister had - marfans syndrome. The life expectancy is a little longer and surgical procedures have improved but its a constant search for a cure. God Bless all those who have to live with this disease on a daily basis.
I agree, time doesn't heal, but the pain of losing someone near to us does seem to lessen a little bit as time goes by. Do something special in memory of your sister today.
Every May 12th I eat a Twix bar in memory of my aunt. She told us a funny story of something that happened to her on her last Halloween, and it involved Twix bars. So, on the anniversary of the say she killed herself, I eat a Twix bar and think of her laughter as she told the story. Something silly, something simple, but something that helps ease the pain.
