We are staying Oct. 17-30 and were booked in a 1 bedroom at SSR (our home). Since the F&W Fest is during that time, my DH requested that we try out BCV (he liked the pool, too! :hyper: ). I called the first day to check availability and the CM thought it was a good idea to call day-by-day if we did not want to chance moving. It worked like a charm! :earsgirl: It probably wasn't necessary, but I feel better knowing that everything is taken care of. We are looking forward to our trip! :teeth:

By the way, I was asking the last CM about views. We are big fans of the ToT and I asked if there was a way to request that view. The CM said there was not a way to see ToT from BCV but that he would put 5th floor Epcot view on our request. He said that would be our best bet to see Epcot. Since we will be there that long, we will be spending time in the room and enjoying the view. I told him whatever he thought was best and left it at that.

Has anyone stayed at the BCV and had a ToT view? Any hints on how I would know at check in or what I should be requesting? In the big picture, it is NOT a big deal. I just thought it would be a big surprise to my DH since it is his fave! :Pinkbounc

If you want a ToT view, you will have to go over to the BWV. A lot of the preferred view rooms face the opposite way of the Boardwalk and look right at the ToT. I even had a great standard view room at the end of the hallway that I could see the ToT from on our trip last month. Why don't you go on a wait list at the BWV and see if you can get that view there? Maybe even stay half at the BCV and half at the BWV?

I would agree with HBC, do a 50/50 split between BCV and BWV - it is really neat to see TOT from your BWV balcony

thanks

Had a ToT view on our last trip to BCV. It was a 5th floor courtyard view but it was a bit far away.

We will be in a 1-bedroom boardwalk view at the BWV "our home" from 10/20 - 10/29, after 3 nights at AKL!!! We are so excited to go to MNSSHP with our boys and to frequent EPCOT's Food and Wine Festival, especially for the Canadian Cheddar Soup, my DH's favorite.

Thanks for sharing your success! It made me call MS back and book BC for Oct 30 and Oct 31. I was going to wait for all my nights on Monday (Oct 30 - Nov 4) but decided to go day by day.

She did tell me I might not get Nov 3 :( which means I won't book Nov 4 either cause I just can't chance never getting Nov 3 and having to move twice but it will be nice to check out BC and then we'll just head over to BWV for our last 2 nights.

So a one-bedroom preferred just became available for Oct 30 and 31!

I just got out my photos from a stay at the BCV--and I am right now looking at a picture of the top of the ToT taken from our balcony, so you can see it, not that much of it, LOL, but you can see it.

Thanks for all the replies! :Pinkbounc I like the idea of switching resorts; however, my DH likes to get his "nest" made and stay put! :teeth: Originally, we were going to split between SSR and BCV, but BCV won out this time.

JVL1018: Do you remember your room number or your location in the resort. I realize that it will be off in the distance, but I still think it would be cool. Others like to see Cindy's castle or Spaceship Earth, but we "know" we are in WDW when we see the ToT! Crazy, I know!!

Ron: I think the fest is from the beginning of October through mid-November.

akghutton: We will be there at the same time! The cheddar cheese soup is on our list of "must haves"! We are excited about MNSSHP, the F & W Fest, Universal's HHNs, Cirque and eating at all the fabulous restaurants! :Pinkbounc Oh, and finally staying on Disney property! :hyper:

TonyS20,
It will be easy to spoy my DH; he will be the one with the chair pulled up to the kiosk with the Canadian Cheddar soup:teeth:

Best of luck with all of your plans!!!
