13-day park hopper ticket?

We are in the same situation. We are going for 14 nights and it is just cheaper to get the AP. We do not do the water parks and do enjoy doing a park each day at some point. For us 10 days no longer really covers our needs and 14 is what we need but the cost of getting a 4 day ticket plus a ten day with park hopper isn't worth it compared to the AP. I am going to look into undercover tourist but the AP seems the way to go.

You can buy a discounted ticket from UT and then upgrade to an AP.

Just get the ticket with the best discount* and with a gate price less than the AP you want. Just use the ticket once to bridge the ticket to the gate price.

* Note this is not always the most expensive.
